    Pls Microsoft update STOP to destroy the sound function of ASUS Laptop w/ Realtek ALC 256

    Hi All,

    #No sound #OEM69.inf #Update #Win10

    here comes a workaround solution to restore the sound function if you pc laptop no sound after windows updates

    Can someone tell MS update to stop this update, thanks millions

    Hi, the Feedback Hub app is the way to try to do that. (Win key + F)

    You might try
    Prevent Windows Update from Updating Specific Device Driver

    There are other options e.g. manual control of updates using a 3rd party utility, disabling all driver updates, hiding (disabling) one specific one. All in tutorials.

    Your main problem is your Realtek audio turned into a hand-free audio thing. I don't think icepower has anything to do with your problem as software components have no hardware id's --- so it shouldn't be icepower's fault that your Realtek audio turned into a hand-free unit.

    IF you have the Realtek audio console properly installed from the Microsoft store already, my advice is to update both the driver and the Realtek software components from Microsoft update catalog --- so that the AI wouldn't push you any driver updates.

    You can also update the icepower extension software component to 2.0.9.3 by downloading it from Microsoft update catalog. Unzip it and update via device manager.
