I just hate this driver version.... it tends to get distortions and noises from time to time during upmixing. It WAS at one point working fine with the 8899.1 unoffical then I HAD to try to upgrade it to the 8900... and all hell broke lose. (I need to remember the 'if it's not broke, don't fix' it saying...) It's kind of fixed for now.
where did you get the unofficial 8899.1 & 8900 UAD drivers?

not a good idea to be using unofficial Realtek UAD drivers on your ASUS Rog Strix board, falcongrey

They were posted on the Asus ROG board itself, and yeah, I know it's never a good idea to us anything 'unofficial'... Having had a background in network security and computer repair, that's one area I DO know well. This was the first time I've had an issue with undoing something that went wrong.

Went to link the driver location on the rog.asus board but the thread is now deleted... Deleted location
