    Why do I have High Definition Audio Bus on my system?


    I've been checking the latency on my machine with LatencyMon and one that comes up with latency spikes is hdaudbus.sys. Is that the Intel high definition audio driver? I can't understand why I have this on my machine when I've never installed Realtek drivers and run a dedicated Sound Blaster sound card. W10 1909.

    In my computer, hdaudbus.sys is a M$ driver. It may be used with your Sound Blaster sound card.

    Your right. I looked at the driver files for my Sound Blaster sound card in Device Manager and hdaudbus.sys is a Sound Blaster driver.
