High DPC Latency causes extremely sound stuttering!

Hello Guys, recently I updated Windows to 1909 and an old problem re-appeared again.
Having some High DPC Latency mainly due to graphics driver and secondly due to USB port.
The last time I had this problem, if I can remember way before 1709, I had found a solution by setting the minimum processor state to 100% in the power plan options. Now I do the same, but the problem still remains!!

Can someone please figure out what's going on? It's really annoying thing and I can't get rid of it.
I'm also attaching you a latency report to see what's going on. Thanks in advance!!

Hi, that seems to be a very old MBO e.g.
Don't know where else to turn =( | guru3D Forums
    from around 2009.

As such, you're in uncharted non-guaranteed territory; if you find a Win 10 build that works well, I suggest you stick with it and do not upgrade further.

What 1909 features are you hoping to benefit from? (Hint- it's not meant to introduce new features compared with 1903, and adds a few problems of its own e.g. with the change to file explorer search).

What was the last build that worked well for you?

First of all, thanks for the instant reply!!

I know right, my rig is really old but it performs well still.. the only problems I had were these kind of problems..
Now that I remember, the big October Update (aka Gamers Update) in 2018 helped a lot with that thing.

The last build that worked well was for sure the one before 1903 and maybe on 1903 too.
What you suggest me to do?

    Is your problem sound?
Usually when someone post about DPC Latency it's sound problems.

If you were ok with 1903, there's little real point in upgrading to 1909.

Note too if you search for
    stutter 1909
there are quite a few results.

I note you're running x64 on it- have you tried a 32 bit O/S? You've only 4G of RAM too..

    USBPort.sys... e.g.

The truth is I already tried everything about the USB ports, the problem still persists..
If I go to 32bit system the RAM will be recognized only as 3,7GB.. so it's not worth it.
So should I roll back to 1903?

Music is very sensitive to system timers, and unless you have a new motherboard that has an extra timer chip for sound, like most gaming boards these days, that doesn't use BIOS for the sound timer, you will always have problems, unless you get yourself an external USB DAC.

    For example:
My motherboard comes with SupremeFX and has a good DAC, CODEC, and HIGH-PRECISION CLOCK SOURCE(Foxcom FCO- 7568 chip) and has great sound.

If you want to think about getting an external DAC, this might help:

For your other problems, like the USB ports, make sure your BIOS settings for CPU FSB(base clock) is a static 100MHz, also you can try going into device manager and anything that lets Windows put to sleep unselect in the power management tab.

Check for power management tabs under the highlighted.

    You can try FlexASIO:

    https://github.com/dechamps/FlexASIO

    FlexASIO
    See FAQ.md

Why am I getting "glitches" (cracks, pops) in the audio?

Also turn off Exclusive mode and Enhancements.

If using an app see if device is configurable within the app.

Hi, I've got the same problem. Just look at this:

I tried everything, literally EVERYTHING and the only way to fix it (at least for me) is a SYSTEM RESTART! This must be a Windows thing, because on Linux everything works perfectly.
So now the question: is it possible a TV connected via an HDMI cable to the PC can cause this to Windows?

Hi, @bugreporter; your problem is distinct from that of the original poster, so you should create your own thread. Resolving this issue is not easy.

When you do post your thread, please list 'Everything' you've tried; normally when people say that, respondents suggest something to get the discouraging response 'Already tried that, no help'. That wastes people's time and tends to rapidly discourage them from trying to help.

Also please state the history- for example, did this start after upgrading to 1909? Adding hardware? etc...

    Thanks!
