No sound from front or back audio jacks

Hi, Recently I got myself a bluetooth adapter so I stopped using my headphones for a few days. Now today when I plugged my headphones in, the windows or ubuntu don't recognize any speakers connected.
I installed the realtek drivers from motherboard website and also tried BIOS settings for audio but with no success.
Can somebody please suggest what should I do?
The audio connectors are fine but both mobo and cabinet ports don't seem to work

But how could it happen? I checked everything and the motherboard looks clean as new.

With electronics the "looks" is not a solid criteria for determining functionality. I have junked computers that looked perfect but had a distinctive odor the electricity produces when a component "burns up".

Most motherboards have 2 methods for connecting speakers or headsets, the light green port on the rear of the computer which is part of the board and a port on the front of the case that has a cable that plugs into/onto pins on the motherboard. That cable can come loose or sometimes pulling the power cord out, wait a bit then unplug and reset that cable can help. An extreme measure is to do the same with the large 20 or 24 pin cable from the power supply to the motherboard and reseat it. Doing these actions tends to 'normalize' things.
