Creative SB Audigy 2.zs not working

    WinVer 1903 (OS build 18362.418)

May be an unsolvable problem, but...

Just upgraded to Win 10 pro, over the top of win 7 pro. Now my speakers won't work.

Have determined that the speakers actually do work and the sound card works but the driver (6.0.1.1377 dated March of 2010) isn't being recognized. have tried to update the driver but it appears that's the newest.

I realizes this is old tech but it everything worked fine on Win 7. And I am hoping (against hope) that someone else might have had the same problem and found a solution.

I hate abandoning or throwing away stuff or software that still works fine.

Thanks. I don't read German but even so i followed the link. Couldn't seem to find Audigy RX driver at Creative and when I found it by following the links on the German site there didn't seem to be a link to DL it.

The source site also suggests it might be a hacked version. Do you know anything about that?

    I'm afraid I know nothing about it - I don't have an Audigy 2 zs - I just googled "Audigy 2 zs Windows 10".

There appears to be an Audigy RX driver here

Hmmm...I don't see it. Checking the 'details" the RX is not listed. Am I missing something?

According to Creative's website for that model.....it's reached it's "end of service". Also, it's for windows OS 98 to 7.
Creative Worldwide Support - Audigy 2 ZS

That said, I would download the driver package and then run it in compatibility mode. That should get it working for you. Right now you're using the WDM driver for it.....all that is, is windows generic driver as it can't find a windows 10 driver. Same thing happened with windows 8/8.1 and older GPU's that were being used at the time.

It was waiting game to see if vendors would update drivers for suck hardware or you were forced to go buy a new piece of hardware to work with the new OS.

NOTE: I have to to the same thing for a Logitech webcam I have. It only works with windows 7 or earlier. I get it to install and work exactly as I did under 7 in windows 10 using the compatibility mode install.

I've got the driver downloaded. How do you run it in compatibility mode? I know how to run an app in compatibility mode but not a driver.
