Stereo Mix not available after OS update and reinstallation.

    Version 1903 (OS Build 18362. 418)

I've had this happen before but I don't remember how I got it working again.

    Any help would be appreciated.

What driver does it show in Device Manager for that sound device?

Yes it was. I'm still no further ahead, but my fingers are still crossed.

A Google search and a bit of patience found this:

Open Device Manager (Right Click on Start Menu).Locate "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" and expand it.Right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio" and select "Update Driver".

    It works!

Well now that you've got a working driver don't rush to update it. Just keep that one.
