    alert screen for sound devices on new dell computer - wht is it?


    so the new dell is 2 weeks old and today this nag screen has started popping up. at first thought it was just a youtube issue but nag screen has shown up when not on internet. does not appear to be a big deal but....what is it for?

    only sound device plugged in is the twin speakers in the green plug on back of computer.

    This popup should only occur when connecting something. Could be a sign of bad contact.

    Anyway, you should select front speakers (in your case - Surround - front), and if it doesn't stop, check that mark to not show it again
