What DAW to get?

Reaper. Unlimited free trial and $60 to purchase? Can't beat that.
I really like Reaper. I am no pro at this home recording stuff, but was able to find and load up some guitar amp, and keyboard/synth VSTs into it and record decent sounding stuff via my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4. It has a nice collection of effects/mixing tools built in like compression, EQ, etc. etc.

All this stuff on my Youtube channel was made with Reaper.

G41851, what was a final straw or reason to switch to windows?
me ,the careless attitude towards their older products and annoying music set up.

Out of curiosity I downloaded imms.io. No where near the free Cakewalk by Bandlab (Sonar). imms.io wouldn't recognize my MOTU 4pre recording interface and I didn't find any way to include my Frontier Tranzport wireless controller or my Korg nanoKontrol2 control surface. All of these devices are recognized and work perfectly in Cakewalk and Studio One 4.5 Pro that I have. I had a "lite" version of Cubase (LE) and these devices also work OK in that.

I've used Studio One. I found it fairly easy to use. But I don't really have much use for a DAW. There are experts who can give you much more information than I can.
