    Windows Sonic

I wanted to try this feature and was able to enable it. However, people get the 7.1 even in stereo headphones, while I do not.
My headphones register as speakers in settings when using 3.5 stick.
When I go into control panel for sound and under the speakers that my headset is registered as, I can turn on Windows Sonic, but there is no 7.1 button below when I do.
    Is that an error?

Forgot to mention, I'm running Hyperx Cloud Alpha headset

Windows Sonic is not available to embedded laptop speakers.

If your laptop's audio chipset/driver combo doesn't allow streaming 2 different sets of audio at the same time (i.e. 5.1 audio to the actual speakers and a different stereo signal to the headphones), then you are out of luck.

It should be avaliable for all headsets/headphones. Should not matter with speakers. It says multiple places that all headsets / headphones have this avaliable..

I wrote about my headset register as speakers in the control panel for sound/playback devices. It is common apparently, does not mean my headset don't function

You can use Microsoft's default driver, you may lose some functions over realtek's.

This does nothing for my question at all.
