Asus N55SF - No audio from builtin speakers after updating to win 10

    Asus N55SF - No audio from builtin speakers after updating to win 10


    Hi. I installled windows 10 1903 64 bit on asus n55sf. Everything working beside the builtin speakers(Headphones work).
    I installed audio driver.
    the audio card isnt reconized in device manger.
    What can I do to fix this problem?

    Looks like compatibility may have caught up to you. I see ASUS does not have any Win 10 drivers for this model. The only listed Realtek driver is for Win 7.

    Has it ever worked in Win 10? or is this the first attempt at Win 10?

    If Realtek is not shown, is "High Definition Audio" shown in the device manager? If not, that suggests the old Realtek is not Win 10 compatible.

    in audio adapters I have microsoft streaming service proxy
    in system
    high definition audio controller with ! (error).
    It is the first time installed windows 10. I read on this forum that people made the audio work with windows 7 driver but for me it didn't work.

    I read on the internet that I need to install windows 10 on MBR disk. I installed on MBR type disk and the sound works. The problem is solved.
