    Fast popping sound from speakers

My sound seems to be operating okay, albeit with some loss of fidelity (I think). But with no sound or volume I get a Fast popping sound from speakers. The popping is low level, but it's annoying like a dripping faucet.

How do I troubleshoot and turn it off?

Your "My Computer" shows video card generated HDMI audio. Are you actually using HDMI audio or the PC on-board audio?

If you disconnect the speakers from the PC (leave them powered on) do you still hear any popping?
What are the speakers you are using? Are they AC powered or powered from a USB port?
If you connect a headset do you hear any popping?
Are you connecting via Ethernet or Wi-Fi?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get a base of what you have.
