    Adding External Speaker does not silence Internal Speaker

    I have a Dell AIO 5477 under Win 10 1903. When I plug a headphone into the proper jack on the rear the Internal Speaker silences and the sound comes through the headphones. However, when plug a Logitech Z130 into that jack the sound comes through the both the speaker and the internal speaker. This is very annoying.

    Is there any way to fix this?

    Thank you.

    Which sound chip (CoDec chip) does it use ? It should be adjustable in it's driver controls. Here's an example of mine

    Hi there

    @Bluewind

    Another way -- gets rid of speaker cables etc as well is to use Blutooth --route the audio via Blutooth -- you can use a Blutooth receiver (extremely cheap) to route audio from the computer blu tooth to your speakers.

    something like this -- around 10 EUR / 10 USD / 9 GBP

    Golvery-Bluetooth-Receiver-Portable-Stereo-16-J205

    Blutooth audio has improved significantly these days -- also convenient if you want to use non tooth enabled headphones from devices with blue tooth -- far better than messing about with cables.

    Incidentally this also works on most Linux distros so if you use any sort of Linux with sound problems Blutooth invariably works.

    Also good for playing music from phone on to car radio if you have an AUX in and no BLU tooth connector -- no wires needed from phone to AUX !!!

    Cheers
