Headphones Don't Work, But Speakers Do...

    Hi,

I just reset my Windows computer the second time to see if I could fix this, but it's just not working. I plugged in my headphones, the Realtek window comes up for headphone configuration. I try to test the headphones, and it doesn't work. Tried everything that I could do: Update the drivers, resetting my PC, pretty much everything in the book.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Eric

I assume this is not a usb headset, and is plugged into the onboard realtek sound ports via 3.5mm jack?

Change/set the default device to "headphones"? On mine they will not function if not set as default device, even if they are detected and configured, etc.

Correct, the headphones are 3.5mm. Headphones don’t even show up in the sound device window. I tried setting every single device to default, and none of them work. I tried with two other headphones, and none of them work. So, it’s not my headphones, it’s Windows. The jack isn’t malfunctioning, because it’s still picking up input from the headphones.
