So since I do want to update my comfuser, I'm going to wipe the drive & start fresh.
You appear to be comfused. (ref #17 e.g.)

An in-place upgrade repair install actually takes the build back to the build of the iso, if you choose not to apply updates during that procedure.

For example, if you have build 1809 build 17763.615 and you used iso 1809 build 17763.102 (let's say) your system build would go back to 17763.102 if you did not apply updates.

Guess you don't really need tech support.. you could always just clean install.

If you do get your PC back to a stable state, please start using disk imaging routinely so you can then restore your PC yourself to a previous good state in many cases. Macrium reflect (free).

Optional components ... presently there's only one such component which works in the Rip Audio CD interface for naming & tagging files as they're being ripped:
    • freedb tagger - This is provided via foo_freedb2.dll in the components subfolder of the foobar2000 program folder.
I do have foo_freedb2.dll in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Foobar2000\components folder, I just don't get why it's not working correctly.

So an in-place repair using the .iso I have should revert my comfuser back to it's original .iso-timed state, correct?
Unfortunantly, I'm not sure which .iso I have. When I downloaded it, I also moved it to my external drive for safe keeping & looking at it's properties, I see a date stamp of 11/10/17.
    Looking at this: Windows 10 version history - Wikipedia, I'm thinking I have the: 1709 - Redstone 3 - 16299 - Fall Creators Update.

First make sure which build you have installed: Settings, About or winkey + r, winver
    iso:
    - there's a tutorial (search Tutorial list) which tells you how to determine which build your iso is.
    - to download any particular iso:
    search for, download and run
    Heidoc iso downloader
