Sorry, but you are completely wrong. I don't require unofficial drivers for DTS. In the beginning when I switched from HDA to UAD, I was using only MUC drivers and software components and I always had an option to switch DTS on or off straight in RAC.

Later I found it much more convenient to download single archive and update as it is posted, rather than chase broken MUC search engine for driver and separately for components.

You can check your own post regarding DTS.
It's not more convenient when MoKiChU doesn't have non-Asus gear (that's why he is reluctant to provide non-Asus driver updates) and he can suddenly cut off your driver updates.

Your case was somewhat weird because when you migrated from HDA to UAD with the Aqua 8750 UAD driver --- as MoKiChU pointed out Asrock made a naming mistake on that OEM driver. You were in a special case in hell on the migration because your motherboard requires HDX_WhiteExt_RTK.inf (and not the normal HDXAsrok.inf) and Asrock added an extra line of code in the HDX_WhiteExt_RTK.inf.

Your case was so weird that MoKiChU had to send you a personalized driver package by PM.

Don't take your special case in hell to be the norm and then instruct other people to use your method.

MUC has 9175 UAD and 11.0.6000.911 software components.

If I had one hell of the path to upgrade my board to UAD and someone has a straight one, why does it matter at all?
I have given a very simple instructions to jack666 and he could follow or ignore them. And they wouldn't harm him. It's how I do updates and I merely shared it.
I fail to see anything malicious in it, but you seem to have fixation on the "official method", however you define it, as all MoKiChU posted later emerged on MUC, so it can only be called unofficial if you insist on the form...
When MoKiChU will not deliver the ASRock package, I'll wait 3 more weeks - as you said - and get it from MUC.
I'm pretty stumped by your attack.

I'm not on the level of instructing, I just made a suggestion. And there is no "my method", it's just two steps thing that majority of people are doing.

No, you're wrong again. He sent me 9098 from MUC (check the link, it's official). All I needed from that was updated extension inf file.

I am just looking that MoKiChU's post, he said he sent you his version of driver via PM --- how would I know the exact contents of what he sent you.

The official method is also the laziest method in the long for most end-user --- because we know for sure that the end-user can quit searching for MUC updates at any time and let Microsoft handle the "optional driver updates" via Windows Update.

So the official method, end-user can

    1) search MUC every 2 weeks and update their UAD driver manually (as quite a few of us do in this thread)

    OR

    2) at any time, the end-user can be completely lazy and let Microsoft updates their official UAD driver via optional driver update in Windows Update (and they will probably get 9175 UAD via Windows Update in October).

That's how Microsoft designed the new driver updating process --- why mess with it?

You must be very lucky to have everything MS working for you. And quite brave as well.

I have configured WU to update my drivers but it does once in a blue moon, for drivers that doesn't matter - usually devices from Intel "inf driver", and that is pointless. Now I can name at least 5 major problems I am currently dealing with and all with "no thanks"/"unofficial" fixes.
My machine only has 2 browsers, another Win 10 in VBox and Visual Studio (plus two HW Monitors). It is well known that Win 10 is not among the most reliable OSes, but I can't take the luxury of working on linux exclusively as I used to because my current company produces apps that are working - you guessed - only on Win 10. Windows 10 badly messes itself with time. This may not be visible to those who have luxury to reinstall it every month, though.
And I like listening to music while working.

    TL;DR
I don't trust Windows and it's AI when it comes to maintenance, XP was a great OS but the further M$ goes it's getting worse. So, not trusting "M$ AI automated maintenance" it's only logical that I don't take the "lazy way". But in case of Realtek, the difference between non-lazy and lazy way is so minor, that it can only suit beginners lucky enough that M$ upkeep gadgets work for them.

EDIT: we should really stop spamming this board with off-topic and take this discussion somewhere else.

I do. 6.0.1.8328 to be precise. It's the last one (on my board) that has all the features I use...period. Has all the "effects, EQ, Loudness EQ" and the ability to tick a box to "make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously" which means I can leave my headphones plugged in but turned off while using the rear output instead of having to physically unplug them them when not in use. Funny thing is, they do not play "two different audio streams simultaneously", it just separates them into two inputs, which they are, instead of one shared where headphones/front disables rear when plugged in.

Anything newer requires buggy, third party garbage, marketing gimmicks like Creative or Nahimic to regain some (not all) of those features in an inferior form than the stock Realtek drivers used to have. I'll be on 6.0.1.8328 until I get a newer board and can't any more. By then I'll be looking for an alternate audio method because of this Nahimic/Creative partner$hip nonsense.

.9191.1 is a pretty good one.
The mids sound a little bit more prominent the 9137 and 9175 but that might be a good thing for owners of budget headphones.
The bass hass punch, and it and the highs(like high hats) are where set and filtered where they should be.

So would you consider this one still below 9137 and 9175?

Yep, if you're looking for a more HDMI passthrough sound.

Download Realtek UAD Driver - MajorGeeks fairly standard universal driver with options but no setup.exe.
