Acer computers that came out around 2017 with HDA drivers --- usually --- have UAD drivers.

You will need to find a 2018 or 2019 Acer laptop model that came with your premium audio package --- i.e. find a 2018/2019 acer laptop with Dolby app. That 2018/2019 model's driver would have UAD drivers with Realtek Audio Console app and also Dolby app from the Microsoft Store.

Follow my tutorial in the sticky.

Hi, I have a little problem with the latest HDA drivers. If I install 2021 versions (9116.1 or newer) the microphone is detected correctly but it does not detect any sound, it is as if it were muted.
The latest working version is 9088.1, which I currently have installed.
From the SD site I saw that a difference is in the pack version (PG 477 vs R2.8x (4.76)).
    Any ideas?

Your right, they don't work for me neither. Also added them manually in the drivers folder.

I also have a Acer laptop with ALC255, but I haven't updated the driver since 6.0.8978.1 (2020-06-23) with Dax2 (version created 2019-01-22). What I found out is that some driver-versions doesn't work with Dax2 and vice versa.

Does anyone have Dax2 install from 2020/2021?

    Thanks MoKiChU
Compared to HDMI passthrough, or 9045.1 the bass is only slightly on the heavy side(for bass only) mids and highs are clear.
To describe what I mean about the bass, on drop bass it's a softer "thump"(which is great for older music recordings though) than a "punch".

if I recall correctly, you're using Acer Predator laptop—does the app installed correctly for you? I found it in "C:\Program Files\Dolby\Dolby DAX2\DAX2_APP". the tray shows that Dolby Audio are turned on, and working fine. but I just can't set the equalizer because the UI won't show.
Yeah i have the same, if i check in predator sense you can change multimediamode BUT it has no effect like the previous driver.
