Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version [2]
-
Hi all,
I've lurking for years and very grateful for the best place on the WWW for anything related to Realtek drivers. Following the advice from hundreds of posts ago, my system (ASUS Maximus V Gene) looks like this now:
The Hardware ID of the Audio device is: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_1043846B&REV_1000
The Realtek Audio CODEC is : ALC899
The Audio device is controlled by Realtek Audio driver version 6.0.8703.1 with Creative Integration
The legacy HDA driver proposed for this Audio device is FF10
While the sound is great, the driver is dated May 2019, so I was wondering if there is a more recent HDA FF10 out there.
As a side note, I did have the system switched over to UAD drivers via the Generic Realtek Drivers a while back. While this was the only way I ever got a UAD driver working, it just didn't sound that great, so I switched back.

HI MoKiChU,
what do you mean by update only?
I have your v6.0.9102.1 installed currently..

Update only means you need to have your drivers already installed, usually the ones that came with your motherboard / from your OEM mobo's website, and then you run the update. That cannot be used to cleanly install new drivers.
EDIT: I just found where he said it more eloquently:
Hi,
Update Only mean that, unlike the UAD - ASUS drivers packages that I currently offer, these drivers packages cannot be used to do a clean install because the Third Party Extension/SoftwareComponent Drivers (if there are any for your equipment) and especially the Realtek Extension Driver dedicated to your type of equipment are not contained in it (since Realtek Extension Driver is the driver that gives the order of installation of the Realtek SoftwareComponent Drivers that you need, if it is not present, Realtek SoftwareComponent Drivers will not install).
So, as I indicated in the Update Process, you need to install your Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD) from your motherboard support page before using these Update Only drivers packages.
Note : You can update your drivers with future full drivers packages from MSI after using my Update Only drivers packages without any issue.
