Hello so I installed the package for the Taichi motherboard on my Steel Legend and it worked.I can launch the Realtek Audio console and I have also the NAHIMIC app running.
Its Ok but one thing I am facing now is that the older Equalizer/Environment options disappeared. maybe its normal because the Nahimic app features are supposed to supersede them but I dont find this as rich and convenient.

Or its hidden somewhere in the HDA drivers but I cant find it honestly

its becoming a bit frustrating. The Nahimic app has just vanished from my machine overnight. rebooted my PC this morning to find out that the Audio console only is there, and without Nahimic I have no idea how to activate sound output out of my 5.1 system.

I would hear the sound from each speaker during the tone test in the Audio console setup but if I run a Game or Youtube, only the Stereo Front speakers will play sound

really frustrating. should I DDU teh audio drivers and install again the UAD+Nahimic package or is there something I am doing wrong?

I'm not sure why you insist on "Ten month ago", I don't remember ever asking about installation of UAD driver although I did try them few times, installed them and they were working, just didn't meet my needs for settings at that time. Now they do and will use them as long as they are at least adequate for ME.
I am using you and the 10 months to illustrate my point that you are a "neutral observer", you were never my friend and has no axe to grind in this argument.

By the way, MUC has 8991 UAD and 11.0.6000.225 realtek software components --- which will give you 8991 driver and 1.14.225.0 realtek audio console app.

You need "speaker fill" to upmix stereo sources --- it may either be in the Realtek Audio Console or the Nahimic app.

Unfortunately, because you used unofficial drivers before and we have zero idea how they force installed the drivers into your computer --- going back to the normal official drivers may require you to DDU the crap out of your computer to delete all traces of registry hacks in your system. Read the last 5-6 pages in this thread to see how CountMike updated his system yesterday.

In addition to the MUC updates to the UAD drivers and the realtek software components, you should also be aware that since your system comes with nahimic, you can also search for nahimic software component updates on the MUC. Basically you see any item in the device manager, be it under sound, video and game controllers or under the software components category --- search them in the MUC to find updates. After you updates all the various software components, then you run Microsoft Store to download updates to the realtek audio console app and the nahimic app.

Have you updated realtek hardware support application software component to 11.0.6000.225?

If you are physically in Serbia, I am GUESSING that there may be a delay in how Microsoft Store in various countries get updates. If you are in Canada, then I don't know why you are not getting the new app update from Microsoft Store as North America is pretty much simultaneous launches.

Yes, I'm in Serbia, my Windows are US-EN but still have some parts translated, (annoying but have to keep Serbia as locale). I'll check Store update tomorrow morning as usual.

MoKiChU posted drivers for gigabyte just now but it doesnt come with HDX_GigabyteExt_RTK.inf
that i need for my Z390 M Gaming

    Code:
    changes to HDXGigabyte.inf from 6.0.8996.1 to 6.0.9003.1

    DriverVer=08/11/2020, 6.0.9003.1

    New Device
"Realtek High Definition Audio" = IntcAzAudModel, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0255&SUBSYS_1458FA3A

    Like So
"Realtek High Definition Audio" = IntcAzAudModel, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0255&SUBSYS_1458FAD9
"Realtek High Definition Audio" = IntcAzAudModel, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0255&SUBSYS_1458FA3A
"Realtek High Definition Audio" = IntcAzAudModel, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0255&SUBSYS_1458FA31
    Code:
    I edited HDX_GigabyteExt_RTK.inf 6.0.8996.1 with the following

    DriverVer   = 08/11/2020, 6.0.9003.1

    New Device
    %Device.ExtensionDesc% = DeviceExtension_Install,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0255&SUBSYS_1458FA3A

    Like So
    %Device.ExtensionDesc% = DeviceExtension_Install,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0255&SUBSYS_1458FAD9
    %Device.ExtensionDesc% = DeviceExtension_Install,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0255&SUBSYS_1458FA3A
    %Device.ExtensionDesc% = DeviceExtension_Install,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0255&SUBSYS_1458FA31
and it matches the hdxrtext.cat and works fine

here's a copy if anyone wants it

    https://mega.nz/file/Z7wGBCrL#nzjmZP...Apbn57XMpl9TF8

It's a complete package for Gigabyte boards with only realtek audio
    no Nahimic etc

    Codec_9003.1
    ExtRtk_9003.1 HDX_GigabyteExt_RTK.inf only
    RealtekAPO_803
    RealtekHSA_227

Ha. MSI Update utility decided to download and install the RealTek HD Audio drivers, which wiped out the UAD drivers, Nahimic, and messed everything up.

Fortunately, this thread exists - I DDUd the crap out of my machine, as Sandy says, and then installed the official MSI RealTek Audio N driver package (which is the DCH package with all the extras like Nahimic), and after fiddling with it for a while, it finally got back to the 'latest', same versions as listed by Sandy above:

But I gotta tell you - I was *highly* pissed when the computer rebooted and my sound went stupid, only to realize that the DCH drivers had been replaced by older HD Audio drivers.

Definitely complaining to MSI about their Live update utility.....and manually installing any new updates from now on.
