First of all, Realtek themselves recommend the new drivers ( UAD ) and not the old ( HDA ) bloatware ones ( their words ). Also, and most importantly, they found 2 critical bugs. The first fixed in version 8899 and the second somewhat later. Just get the latest 6.0.8975.1 and have your head trouble-less. Also the MEI drivers and Firmware we were talking, so them too have had serious bugs. Some PCs for instance couldn't go to Sleep or Awake from Sleep etc. These none knows exactly what they are doing ( the microcode ) but Intel themselves. The point is, sometimes latest drivers is important task. In rare instances even the performance of your PC is hindered by old drivers without even knowing it. Of course this can happen with installing new drivers, too. That's why some of us pay attention.

Mokichu, yes, indeed, I have the latest MEI DCH drivers 2020.14.0.1600 ( DCH/UAD/UWP all the same terminology ) which package gives me the 2013.14.0.1529 MEI driver and all other latest in Software Components.

The fixes are mainly for power management. With Cortana, realtek needs to be half asleep (to save battery life) yet half awake to listen to the 10-15 words to wake the computer up.

This has never been done on an audio chip before.

The transition from HDA to UAD is a Microsoft security mandate, nothing to do with realtek.

I have updated my ROG UAD SS3 SWAY to include the warning about the new installer.
Also with the latest driver packs I have deleted the DTS and other portions and only included what is needed for ROG SS3, as that is all I need. These copies are first and foremost for me, and I want to keep the upload/download as small as possible. I'm just willing to share if someone wants an older or specific Realtek version with SS3 intergration.
MoKiChU has changed and improved the install method.
Now all you need to do is right click Install_ROG_SS3.cmd and it will silenty install over the old driver and automatically reboot.
Make sure you have closed any running programs and save any contents open before installing as it reboots automatically.

No more waiting for the old version to uninstall, reboot, and then install the new driver, then reboot a second time, as the new driver is installed beside the old(need to use Driver Store Explorer(Rapr.exe) to delete the old drivers if you want) and turned on.

Click the 4 arrows in upper right hand corner, to expand the Sway

    Hi,

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF MB) from my ROG UAD drivers thread.

Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process.

Note (in order to choose correctly the install/update process to use) : You have a ASUS TUF DTS Custom motherboard.
    Awesome, thanks!
