I'm in the same boat as you.

I need the latest Realtek ALC 1220 driver just like you and I can't find it anywhere. If you find a safe source, please post!.
    Hi mate,

I'm still no clearer on wtf UAD requires it seems very manual and ongoing so I am going to leave it for now.

I ended up taking this persons advice and downloading this 8895.1 HDA as I saw a post from another member here saying they had reverted back to this version as they sound good.

Hi guys, so I just build my pc with B450 Gaming Plus MAX motherboard on Windows 10 Pro version 2004. I installed the latest Realtek HD Universal Driver (include Nahimic Driver) from MSI's website (version 6.0.8945.1) as well as the Nahimic 3 and Realtek Audio Control applications from Microsoft store. I can access all these apps without any problem. However, I still can't connect my earphone & headphone 3.5mm jack into the front panel audio jack of my case. It won't detect any device and won't play any sound... The rear panel audio jack works fine though after installing those drivers.

I have made sure to properly plug in the HD Audio cable in the right header on the motherboard. I have enabled the HD audio in the BIOS setting, and also tried ticking (and unticking) the 'Disable front panel jack detection' in the Realtek Audio Control app. None of those fix the issue. Anyone knows any solution to this?
Hi, anyone can help me with my above problem? Thanks and much appreciated

I apologize beforehand if these are dumb questions I will be asking... anyhow, here's my scenario.
My new PC came with the Realtek UAD driver and I'm going to presume it requires this driver for the audio to continue functioning properly. The latest I have it updated to is 6.0.8904.1 because it includes those now famous generic .inf files.

OK, first question: I've noticed that HDA 6.0.8934.1 happens to be compatible with my driver's Hardware ID which is HDAUDIO \ FUNC_01 & VEN_10EC & DEV_0899. Does this mean that I can totally remove my UAD driver and download the HD Audio drivers from now on?

Also, I've tried to remove the UAD driver once and use an HDA driver, but had to revert to going back to the original UAD driver because I was never able to get the HD Audio Manager to actually show up. What could be wrong or what could I have done wrong?

Any help would be appreciated. But please, spare me the holier than thou attitude if you know.
    Thanks

    "Generic" doesn't apply to you.

You have a brand new Dell alienware computer. The MUC cab files have 4 different Dell inf's which will most likely include your hardware ID. Go to MUC and download 8940 UAD and chances are you will be able to update your audio driver.

Apart from wh at sandyt posted the HD Audio Manager doesn't exist for the UAD drivers. It's now called Realtek Audio Control and is available from the Microsoft Store. Actually it should be installed automatically after you've installed the UAD driver. If not you just go to the Microsoft Store and check for updates and it should install automatically.

No point in going back to HDA drivers if you can run UAD

Hey DooGie. I know all this, and tbh, I have no need for the Audio Control for two reasons: 1. Every equalizer setting sounds awful on my particular PC, even if I try to do a custom setting; 2. My PC comes with Alienware Command Center which has great sound settings and a great equalizer.

I guess I'll just try to update my UAD driver to 8940 like sandyt suggested and see if all goes well.

    Thanks to both.

I need Sound BlasterX 720° software! Please help. I will hang myself.

Please, please, please. I just asked 3x so you know I'm dead serious.

I need this software extremely badly but I can't find a copy of it anywhere. I've literally looked for days. The software is required to fully operate the audio chip that is located on my motherboard. By the way, I also need the most recent audio codec for this audio chip too which I can't find!

I purposely purchased my motherboard, the Z370 Aorus Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0) because I read that the audio chip on the motherboard actually sounded better than a dedicated sound card. I bought it on this hype because some owners actually confirmed that's this was true but ONLY IF you can get it to work. Then, is sounds amazing. The problem is that the driver and sound manager software are nowhere to be found. I bought this motherboard about 3 years ago. At that time, I think I spent about 2 weeks trying to get it to work. You know the deal. You start spending hours...that turn into days...that turn into weeks. I finally had to say "Basta!" (That's Italian for enough. I don't even know Italian but it hurt so much, the word just came out.)

    **************************************************************************************************

For the past 3 years, I've been listening to audio poo poo. I've finally decided that I'm going to fix this audio problem or die trying. What I need to find:

    1. Realtek® ALC1220 most recent driver and past drivers.
    2. A sound manager called Sound BlasterX 720°.
    3. How to install the driver and software. Supposedly, there is a particular order that makes it work. I believe (but not sure) that the order is: you have to install an older driver, then install SoundBlasterX and then the most recent audio driver.
