I am having bass issues on my laptop.
Essentially when I listen to a song that has bass.
The audio takes a dip and goes quiet(low volume- but sliders stay the same)

I have tried a lot of drivers, configs, APO and even the default Microsoft HighDef drivers

Is there a setting I have wrong.

As of now, I have the latest. 6.0.8788.1 by pal1000 on windows 10 1903 64bit.
I suspect it has something to do with front and back panel config, but since I have a laptop not sure how to override this setting.
    Any help will be appreciated.

Does your laptop already support the UAD drivers? If so stop using the PAL1000 drivers and find the ones made for your OEM laptop.

No, in case your laptop does *not* support UAD drivers natively, when you install those generic UAD drivers, you should also get the RealTek Audio console installed - as an app - run it and then you can change the front / back panel settings by using the Gear icon in the lower left that says Device advanced settings.

If that is not working, post back, and include the model of your laptop, so the fine folks here can give more advice.

    I uninstalled the current Pal1000 drivers .
I guess my laptop doesn't support it cause the Audio Console wasn't installed when I installed it.
I went for the old HP driver designed for my laptop. From here https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers...model/12079570

But still I experience the quiet spots with bass. Even after disabling DTS which the HP drivers come with and restarting audio services.

I even went and got the generic FF00 version from @alanfox2000 Github page for my laptop and Lenovo H530

8787 sounds really good running from my Lenovo through my Blu-ray player.
Do you care about the fact that it isn't signed? I am not sure if I need to care.

I figured it out. It's signed for Win10 only, I'm on 7 here. I installed it anyway, and it seems to work and I took a listen. I found the vocals are not as clear as with 8781.1

I then decided to try this pal1000 version. It didn't work at all. Using the setup.cmd doesn't change the MS driver out for the new one. Stuffing the official installer into the folder and trying that one instead says it cannot do it. I am speculating that it must be a release meant only for W10 systems.

I stayed with the famous for it's performance 8648. Does anyone know if 8787 is better?
Or which driver is the best until now.
    Thank you!
