Since you introduced John @
johngalt to the modded UAD drivers, he's more than dedicated Andy!!!!!
Well Dimitri it can become an obsession.

-
Yep, it can. And John definitely likes that kind of stuff!!!

@DooGie
As I am currently obsessed Andy, with a huge PS script, which is supposed to run after a clean install and automatically do all the tweaks I have done till now manually!!!
It's currently around 450 lines and keeps going, as I decided to also make it menu driven.... like someone else but me will ever use it!
But that's what we like to do... right? Otherwise we wouldn't be here, at least that active. We would have left Microsoft to take care of everything and wouldn't mind if something will be fixed in a later CU. But no, we have to find the solution now!

I know what you mean but at my stage in life I just think of that as being impatient.

I couldn't agree more
Patience, after all, is a virtue!

I admire your dedication John
If I only had the time to match the dedication!
Cliff!!
As we have together
tried and failed to install UAD drivers in my hp laptop, I have tested several of the latest HDA ones (FF04 stopped in 6.0.8734.1).... but I haven't been satisfied with any one but 8648. So as you did, I got sick of uninstalling/reinstalling/testing and settled down to 8648 HDA!!!
As long as it works, the way my ears want, with no problems in 1903, I stopped looking for updated ones...which is what Realtek also did with HDA drivers.
That is 2 votes for reverting ot 8648 after all of this that we've been seeing come out ... this testing might be the most necessary thing I have done in a long time.

I never, ever, EVER let Microsoft take care of it without keeping a close eye on what they are supposedly taking care of - especially with me also being a Windows Insider Preview tester for the OS....

Patience?? Pfft. It's overrated.

Um, not sure what you mean - AlanFox2000 is still pumping out non-UAD and UAD drivers with the official installers, and Pal1000 is still pumping out UAD drivers with both the official installer as well as his own customized installer.

THANKS
with these that u r talking about with offical installer i dont get the same sound quality as the hda drivers .. is there any way to convert them to like hda ( my laptop dolby only works with hda).
in many unofficial drivers.."The official installer is included. If you prefer it over my custom made open-source installer, move Win64 folder inside Official-Setup folder and run setup.exe as admin from there."..i tried but this not working like hda.

No it won't work like the HDA driver as no effects are included. Personally that's why I like pal1000's drivers, I just consider Dolby an artifact I can do without.
