Have you looked on the Acer website to see if there are any Realtek UAD drivers for your notebook ? From what I've seen it appears to be HDA compatible only.

JaviLerma's Acer P449-G2-M laptop seems to have Intel Kaby Lake hardware, which may qualify for using Realtek UAD drivers but we need to know the hardware ID number of the Realtek audio device on that Acer laptop

he will need to use this site to gather the hardware device of Realtek High Definition Audio in Device Manager:

You don't, must uninstall UAD to install HDA.

Pal1000 and AlanFox2000 have been busy these last few days.

Pal1000 released 8773.1, with a fix for the custom installer: Setup: Properly revert Windows Advanced startup activation to default state (#8).

Build 8773.1 is a good driver John, I've been running it since yesterday lunchtime and for me it's the best sounding of the recent crop of drivers.

Hey guys! I need help with AlanFox2000's UAD Realtek drivers.

Using the UAD Inf Editor crashes for me when I try to open the directory of the drivers so I tried doing the PnPUtil method but on the second step - am I suppose to install both HDXRT.inf + HDXRTSST.inf?

This is the hardware ID for my realtek: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_1220&SUBSYS_18491220&REV_1000

So I found that the codec folders did not have both HDXRT.inf and HDXRTSST.inf for 1220, it was one or the other.

And then for the 3rd + 4th steps I'm not sure which ones would be the correct versions to install as well.

I'm using an asrock mobo w/ Realtek ALC1220 Codec.

Thank you so much! Love to see so many activate members, been a while since I've used a forum and miss it so much.

I've done the prep on uninstalling all of the realtek drivers + deleting all of the realtek drivers from Windows Driver Store using DriverStore Explorer

I've been trying my best to narrow down which driver for my MSI that uses Nahimic 2. From what I can work out I need a HDA with FF03 drivers (FF03 = FF00 with Nahimic Integration) as I have the NAHIMICAPOlfx.dll in my drivers list. I've been scanning through Releases . alanfox2000/realtek-hda-release . GitHub trying to determin which one I should be using and the most recent I've found is:

    8746_FF00_FF03_FF06_PG473_Win10_RS3_RS4_RS5_19H1_Win7_WHQL
    or
    8746_FF00_PG473_Win10_RS4_RS5_19H1_WHQL_For_DTS_HP-X_64bit

These just don't sound right to me? One refers to windows 7, the other DTS and HP-X?

    HWID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_146211B1&REV_1000

I did manage to get Nahimic 3 working for ages, even though not supported on this model of MSI, until a few days ago. So I tried to update those drivers which were UAD and used the UAD drivers 6.0.8765.1 and now I can't seem to get rid of them (powershell now always says that is the version even when the drivers are uninstalled)

Where do I go from here?
