Hey everyone, i need some help from you guys. Since I build my PC with the MSI z170a krait gaming r6 siege mainboard (should be alc1150), i was never able to use the nahimic thing since feb 2016.

I literally tried everything (clean os install - almost every driver out there - ddu realtek deinstall - nahimic version from the windows store etc) it always says my system is not compatible even tho i downloaded the realtek driver from the msi website and the nahimic version as well.

Can maybe someone help me out with that?

Hello everyone, can someone help me with installing latest Realtek UAD with Third party software - probably with proper Xperi driver/addon/extension, since DTS in under Xperi?

My M/B is Asrock X470 Taichi and one of the advertised features of this M/B is DTS Connect support, that should be able to compress 5.1 audio through digital optical S/PDIF connection. On other end is YAMAHA HTR-6030 that supports DTS Digital Surround. OS is Win 10 1809.

However, no matter what I try, I can't find way to make it work. I tried both Realtek Driver 8470 that is no more on site that wasn't digitally signed, and the newest driver 8668 with Realtek Audio Console, tried uninstalling End-point in Device Manager, tried all combinations of formats, nothing works.

In Control Panel->Sound->Playback->Realtek Digital Output->Supported Formats I can test both DTS Audio & Dolby Digital and both correctly work on 5.1, and either in Control Panel->Sound->Playback->Realtek Digital Output->Advanced->Default Format or in Realtek aplication (one with old GUI) with Driver 8470 I could set DTS Interactive (5.1), but with driver 8668 I have just 2 channel options and I have to set DTS Interactive (5.1) in Realtek Audio Console. When I have turned on DTS Interactive (5.1), I can also turn on DTS Connect; with driver 8470 I could set in either in Control Panel, or in Realtek aplication, with driver 8668 I can set DTS Connect in Realtek Audio Console.

After a lot of troubleshooting, I made it work on VLC Media Player with DTS content, but common PCM 5.1 content and games with 5.1 support doesn't seem to work.

I found few articles from 2015 where it was stated, that DTS Connect was not working on Win 10 with cracked audio drivers, but I guess with supported M/B there shouldn't be a problem. There was other articles, that have offered new cracked drivers for Win 10, but I would like to make it work without potentionally unsecure drivers.

I hope support for DTS Connect is not made-up, since it is one of the reasons that I bought this M/B.

I am thankful for all help.

I think I may have found my new favourite Realtek audio driver. Build 8755.1.
The sound is very much like build 8750.1 but for me 8755.1 has a better more defined bass presentation, each individual note is more distinct. The highs are still very clean though

@DooGie - did you have to disable Signed driver enforcement, or do you just acknowledge the prompt at boot every time and ignore it, hitting Enter to continue booting into Windows?

EDIT: NM, found the restore utility in the archive.

After windows 10 update I havent been able to use Realtek Console, it now is a blank screen with "Realtek Audio Console doesn't support for this machine.", however, the tray notification for when I plug headset (to choose what I plugged) still works. Rollingback the version fixes, but I need 1903 to use certain software.

Try this one? Use DDU in safemode to uninstall the old drivers.
Realtek high definition audio driver ver: 8710_UAD_WHQL_DTS
    ASRock > Support

Probably have to use APO from here to get DTS to work. PureSoftApps
I had to for Sound Blaster Connect/Cinema 5 to work on my ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4.
ASRock seems to "forget" the other parts of their RealTek drivers. Like the UAD software.
I could never get it to "auto load" from Windows Store after installing them.
Then again, if you that APO. You could use a newer driver than 8710 UAD.
    Maybe from here: Releases . pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic . GitHub ?
This whole going to UAD from HDA drivers seems convoluted to me.

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone can recommend which Realtek driver I should be on? Get's a bit confusing with all the different sites and different types now(HDA/UAD). I'm running a Gigabyte z97x Gaming 7 mobo which uses ALC1150. The audio driver from the Gigabyte website is quite old (6.0.0.7727). The latest on the Microsoft Update Catalog for my audio Hardware ID lists 6.0.1.8036, which I downloaded and updated manually through Device Manager (is that the right way to update? Didn't have a setup file). It seems to be working fine so far with that, but should I be on a later driver? I'm guessing I should stick to HDA drivers? Thanks :)

    Hi and welcome to TenForums.

First things first, if you're happy with the operation of your sound device (i.e good sound for your taste), there's no need to mess around with the audio drivers.
On the other hand, if you want to use the latest/best driver (like a lot of us, in here do!), the only way to find the most suited one for your system is by trial and error.
To decide what HDA driver you need check this thread: Determine the HDA Realtek driver needed for your Audio
A good source for the latest driver is Github, used by many users in this forum.
    Releases . alanfox2000/realtek-hda-release . GitHub

Since your MB is not the most recent one, you'll probably better off with HDA drivers. But again, if you wanna try UAD drivers, you completely uninstall the HDA one and try a UAD driver to see if it works for you. Sound-wise the difference between the two technologies should be minimal, if any. Follow this guide, if you want to try it.

One final advice, for your sanity: Make a full system image, before starting to mess with drivers, so you can rollback if you're not happy with the results of your tests.

    Good luck.

And one last, thing.... HDA Driver 6.0.1.8648 is well tested and widely acceptable as one of the best sounding drivers for a lot of systems.
The more recent 6.0.8750.1, is a very good one too!
