What can I say... AT LAST!
Maybe the driver that I've been waiting for months and months. Clean and warm at the same time, detailed and complete sound, perfectly balanced, an absolute delight for my ears. Orchestra, opera, piano, everything sounds just the way it should sound.

In my humble opinion, the best driver I have ever tried. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

    Hello everyone.

have a Gigabyte X570 aorus master motherboard. I have an ALC 1220 audio chip. I read that you are very satisfied with the last driver. I don't know how to set it up.

    Can you tell me ?

    Thank you..

Hi, MoKiChU just want to inquire that you are not publishing a DTS version of Realtek driver? That's what I mean, with the new version number.
    AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.0.8851.1 Thanks in advance.

It's not an easy question, because it depends a lot on each computer. As a general rule, you should first uninstall any official installation, and prevent windows from reinstalling the driver before trying anything else. Disconnecting the internet also usually helps. If you want to uninstall it deeper, you could also try DDU, but in theory it is not essential.

Then you download the new unofficial driver from this page:

    Releases . pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic . GitHub

Unzip and run setup.cmd with administrator rights. Follow the instructions. If there's no additional problem, that's it.

Keep in mind that if you use a generic driver, you could lose some features that are included in the drivers that gigabyte provides you.

And one more thing. I think it's important to back up the system before trying anything.

Hello. I did everything like you said. i uninstalled the driver with ddu. i cut the internet connection.

I clicked on setup. I've finished installation following the instructions. but when I look at my version number from the device manager, it shows 6.0.8824.1.

I couldn't make sense of that? Where am I making a mistake?

    You aren't making a mistake.
Up until build 8824 pal1000 was able to retain the drivers WHQL Certification, in drivers after that Realtek changed the structure of the drivers and there was no way that pal1000 could retain the certification.
With his current drivers Device Manager will always show build 8824 but if you look at the version in the Realtek Audio Console it will show the build of the driver you currently have installed.

    pal1000's explanation.

Due to Realtek removing HDXRT.inf, HDXRTSST.inf, HDX_GenericExt_RTK.inf and their hashes from hdxrt.cat and hdxrtext.cat respectively in 6.0.8825.1 and newer, it is no longer possible to make a Realtek UAD Generic package for old systems that is 100% WHQL compliant. To workaround this newer releases install 6.0.8824.1 with hardware support application, audio effects and service components taken from latest version and then a force updater is used to replace the old codec component (RTKVHD64.sys and RTAIODAT.DAT) with its latest version.

Don't worry, it says that because the driver was installed with a force updater that overwrites part of the 8824. It's all explained on the same page where you downloaded it.

However, if you look at driver details, or ask for information in Realtek Audio Console, you will see that the really installed driver is 8851.

No need to be humble, they sound great

This is one of the vids I test with as there are bass kicks and drop, but how they sound is very dependent on the driver and how it plays the attack(sharp or soft), and also on the decay/fade, how detailed it sounds.

Also because of the ambience of the song it test the mids and highs nicely:
