Hi, guys! I'm trying to set up my 5.1 speakers for gaming and having hard time with bad Realtek software. I've got Realtek ALC1220 on Asrock Z390 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ac motherboard. The problem is I have 5 exact same speakers, but for some reason my side speakers give much quieter sound. I've tried compensating in Realtek Audio Console (screenshot attached), but I don't hear any difference at all. Even the software shows speakers as smaller (wtf?), while they are the same. How can I make my speakers play sound at the same level?
8787 (hda, over 8781)...
'87 seems good, but now the vocals sound back to "normal" to me, compared to '81's more upfront vocals.
hello
this is for everyone much smarter then me
i was having trouble with the cab. files
so i search and found exe. file 8716 on 09/02/19
and d/l with no problems
why the cab. file and not exe.file
what is the difference
please explain
To install a Realtek HDA driver from a .cab file without setup.exe have a read of this post.
Install CAB file in Windows 10
note to Brink: generic 8746.1 HDA driver w/ Maxxaudio integration available on MUC (153.0Mb cab X64 download)
Edit: btw folks - both 8787 HDA & UAD drivers are WHQL for Win10 only; 8787 FF00 HDA only WHQL certified for Win10 (not whql for Win7/8.x)
also staying with 8773 HDA on my HP computer since Realtek did release a new FF04 HDA version of 8773 few weeks after 8773 FF00 HDA was released.
pal1000's unofficial Realtek UAD drivers require minimum Win10 x64 build 15063 (v1703/RS2) only, Sunspark.
UAD drivers are also not compatible with pre-RS2 Win10 versions like v1507/RTM to v1607.
you can only use traditional HDA drivers under Win7/8.x & pre-v1703 Win10 releases.
In the HDXRT.inf file of the generic 8787.1 UAD driver, this mentions the following section:
---
[Manufacturer]
%MfgName% = AzaliaManufacturerID, NTamd64.10.0...15063
---
NTamd64.10.0...15063 = Win10 build 15063 or greater
and yes 8787.1 HDA is only WHQL for Win10, unless Realtek decides to quietly release an updated 8787.1 FF00 HDA driver package that adds Win7 WHQL compatibility (I will have to find out from alanfox2000 about that)
about the 8746.1 HDA driver on MUC, Brink - it functions like the FF06 version
