8777 sounds really balanced to me.
Not great for my taste, but for audioholics(audiophiles) they might be a good choice.
Light but good punch, and perfect kicks(I personally like them heavier) but they sound really great listening to ripped vinyl on youtube.

Yep, keep what you got now.
Brutal slam death metal sounds oddly balanced now though... weird
With my EQ & effects settings(I never change them), and the bass & treble settings on my Philips soundbar(I never change the either), I have the bass and highs jacked up, and the mids usually lowered to sound more "real-life".

" Yep, keep what you got now "............everybody in these forums knows you are a real expert , this makes it easy for choosing right driver , together with your own taste .....!
May I ask you which of these drivers you use for your own rig ?
I use this UAD installed over a Realtek HDA , with unlocked Dolby and with a FxSound Enhancer................awsome sound !!!!

Only have to take care with my volume , when my neighboors are at home...........

I use the UAD for SS3(sonic suite 3) one(without DTS), that Mokichu(The ROG driver god) puts together at ROG Forums: [DRIVERS] Realtek HD Audio (UAD)

That EQ setting is known as "Smiley Face" by sound engineers, it's the easy getout to reduce feedback

Yup - And RealTek includes a quick-set version of this EQ setting listed as "Powerful". When testing my songs I'm always using that setting to check for low end audio fracturing - aka heavy cracking. My headphones won't crack unless the sound quality is bad, or if someone has manually adjusted the gain to levels entirely too high for normal listening.

there's also an 8777.1 FF00 HDA driver available but only Win10 users can use it (aka. WHQL for Win10 only, much like with 8734.1 FF00/FF04 HDA - Win7/8.x users will get a message saying "windows cannot verify the publisher of this driver software" when attempting to install 8777 FF00 or the install will halt prematurely with a weird error message during setup)

gonna try out 8777 FF00 shortly on my HP computer running Win10 LTSC 2019
