I've been trying my best to narrow down which driver for my MSI that uses Nahimic 2. From what I can work out I need a HDA with FF03 drivers (FF03 = FF00 with Nahimic Integration) as I have the NAHIMICAPOlfx.dll in my drivers list. I've been scanning through Releases . alanfox2000/realtek-hda-release . GitHub trying to determin which one I should be using and the most recent I've found is:

    8746_FF00_FF03_FF06_PG473_Win10_RS3_RS4_RS5_19H1_Win7_WHQL
    or
    8746_FF00_PG473_Win10_RS4_RS5_19H1_WHQL_For_DTS_HP-X_64bit

These just don't sound right to me? One refers to windows 7, the other DTS and HP-X?

    HWID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_146211B1&REV_1000

I did manage to get Nahimic 3 working for ages, even though not supported on this model of MSI, until a few days ago. So I tried to update those drivers which were UAD and used the UAD drivers 6.0.8765.1 and now I can't seem to get rid of them (powershell now always says that is the version even when the drivers are uninstalled)

Where do I go from here?

    MSI GT73VR 6RE titan
    W10 pro 1903
Use DDU to get red of all old drivers' left overs, and then install the FF03 (nahimic) first then the last version here https://s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/n...mic+2.5.31.exe after you uninstall the old version of course

Hello, I'm looking for the latest driver for my laptop, it's a Dell G5 5587, INTELAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0256&SUBSYS_10280824 with Intel SST. The old driver found in Dell site is buggy with Win 10 Insider. Thanks

UADInfEditor_v1.36 keeps crashing whenever I try to load package. Anything I can do?

    Sound system update from me:

Lately Chrome and Chromium Edge, using UAD drivers with A-volute/Nahimic drivers and sound app(SonicStudio for ROG motherboards), have had some serious problems.
When you stream something and pause, or switch, the effects stop working and of course the sound sucks then.
I have been troubleshooting, and clean clean re-installing to no avail.

I did some online searching and others have also had the problem with other Chromium based browsers, and with Firefox also.
(media players like Groove, Videos, and MediaMonkey are unaffected)

I got sick of it, and installed a copy of 8648 HDA(still the Ultimate balanced driver with perfect kick and punch for base, and optimal mids and highs).

    Now everything is hunky dory.

Thanks for the reminder - I need to see if Pal1000 has 8648 and / or 8688 for DL so I can schedule some time for a comparison of the UAD generic drivers.

    EDIT: Added the following:

Bummer. He only goes back as far as 8675.

You could always try modding the ones you want to try for yourself John.

GitHub - pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic: An unofficial package of generic Realtek Universal Audio Driver made from parts of various OEM specific Reatek Universal Audio drivers intended to work on legacy systems lacking OEM UAD support.

Lol - that was what I was just about to post next - I was going to try to make my own UAD 8648 installer. Of course, I'd have to verify that 8648 UAD generic still sounds as good as 8648 HDA (non-UAD)...

That actually sounds like a good round of testing in and of itself....but painful to do....

    Cliff!!
As we have together tried and failed to install UAD drivers in my hp laptop, I have tested several of the latest HDA ones (FF04 stopped in 6.0.8734.1).... but I haven't been satisfied with any one but 8648. So as you did, I got sick of uninstalling/reinstalling/testing and settled down to 8648 HDA!!!
As long as it works, the way my ears want, with no problems in 1903, I stopped looking for updated ones...which is what Realtek also did with HDA drivers.
