    I second this. His MSI downloads are helpful, but I comment out the forced restart in his batch files. So thanks for all you do MoKiChU. I been linking your posts in my YouTube videos to help others. Also thanks to all the people that review the sound changes with each driver and share their thoughts on what it sounds like. I look forward to the reviews from everyone that installs a new driver. I find most of them all sound good, but volume levels change with some. Only one of the versions seemed to make my mic sound like complete trash.

    I just got around to finally test 9137(been using it though, but no time to test and compare with HDMI), and finally there is a great successor to 9045

    It sounds perfectly balanced(bass,mids,highs), the subs have both punch and thump, and I just promoted it to my "Go to" driver when newer ones are not that good, as it has a really "solid" sound too(no sloppy sishing high hats, just clean and very crisp for example).

    Thanks for that assessment Cliff.
    Got some new cans last week (Koss x Drop ESP/95X electrostats - huge difference to my old HD6XX) and been trying different drivers. Your assessment of 9045 was good and have been using them for the last few days. Going to update to 9137 asap. Thanks again!

    [Edited to correct 90X to 95X]

    One of the driver versions sucked hard, I forget which one it was but it heavily modified how my realtek mic recorded audio. It was like super compressed and filtered. This is why I like to hear what people have to say. For the most part with play back, my ears are not finely tuned enough to notice too much variation with lows/mids/highs on the different versions, but I can easily see the volume levels do change with different driver versions. I'm unsure if the nahimic software component or the Realtek audio effects component is in charge of processing my mics Acoustic Echo Cancellation (I assume Realtek since I don't use nahimic, but must have the drivers installed for a happy dev manager), but that was borked on that one bad driver.

    I'm on 9137 now and the playback sounds good and the recording is also very acceptable with AEC enabled. So again thanks all for feedback on this version. To avoid another sucky version I held off till I hear good things. Well then I heard good things about 9137, and updated from 9116 which is also pretty good. Wish Realtek had some change logs... Something must be changing because it can't just be placebo, because recording and especially playback levels change noticeably with different versions.

    @Cliff S
    You're spot on with your assessment of 9137. I think the detail is a touch more crisp, clean and clear, with positioning and separation more pronounced - could be my imagination, though... still getting used to the electrostats (hearing things I've never noticed before)

    - - - Updated - - -

    It's not my imagination. Have just compared 9045 and 9137 and 9045 does sound less clear and precise, but it's a subtle difference.
