If Cliff says so, I'll give it a try, although our music tastes, differ a lot....
Cliff (and Andy @DooGie) are our new Realtek driver test experts, so anyone wanting to try new drivers, just follow their lead!
Dimitri, the music I listen to, even though really hard, needs good drivers to hear the individual instruments and nuances in the music.
Another great thing about brutal slam death metal is, 99.999% of the recordings stay out of the damn loudness war, (although some, only a few, do sound too low or recorded from a smart phone), but most have a surprisingly good sound without being over driven.

I know Cliff....I was just teasing you!
We've discussed before the loudness war and we're both 100% against it (just follow Bob Katz and you'll find out all the details), but as you said, and I fully agree, that kind of music is really hard to drive. So if a driver is good enough for that, then it's great for classic rock, or blues!!!

    MIke,
Since your working driver is 8710_FF00, unzip/unrar the "8734_FF00_FF04_PG473_Win10_RS5_19H1_WHQL.rar" and just use the 8734_FF00_PG473_Win10_RS5_19H1_WHQL folder, which is the Generic one, similar to the one you already use.
The other folder (8734_FF04_PG473_Win10_RS5_19H1_WHQL) is for PCs (usually hp ones) with CXAPO (Conexant) integration which you don't need and you can delete if you wish.

To update, go to to device manager and point for the new driver to the 8734_FF00_PG473_Win10_RS5_19H1_WHQL folder, or from within this folder run the setup program and you're good!
Hi, I did point driver update from device manager > Sound video and games controller > Realtek High definition audio to folder: 8734_FF00_PG473_Win10_RS5_19H1_WHQL and it told me that my driver is up to date.

Mike you need to go to the win64 if you're using 64bit OS.

I've just installed build 8734 and they're good. However I'm undecided if they are better than 8730 or not.

That is insane....unless the 8734 is the same with 8710, there is no way that your driver cannot be updated. I've done it 100 times this way and it worked fine.

Cliff, he has "include subfolders" selected. It's supposed to have found the correct one (x64)

I got it, I was looking in x64 folder and thru .inf files to see what stops it but completely missed SETUP.EXE. Now installed and working.
