After you went through this very simple updating process, can you see why I discouraged people who already have OEM UAD drivers from getting their updated drivers from MoKiChU.

In 2 weeks, you will get 8996 UAD and 11.0.6000.226 (which corresponds to 1.14.226.0 app) on MUC.

EVERY single piece of MoKiChU's driver package --- nahimic software components, icepower software components, dts software components, dolby software components are available on MUC. You just have to search them on MUC. All MoKiChU's followers have to do is update the nahimic software components, then run Microsoft Store to download the latest nahimic app.
These were my last few drivers I used:
    8895_FF00_PG475_Win10_RS5_19H1_X64_WHQL
    AUDIO_Realtek_HDA_ASUS_ROG-PRIME-TUF_DTS&RTK_v6.0.8924.1

Just imagine how simple it would have been if you just listened to me 10 months ago, installed 8666 and updated to 8816 via MUC immediately afterward.

UAD drivers and controls were not as good at that time, had to stick with HDA. I usually start with first and original from
Asus Prime x470 pro on their site and update from them.

Version 6.0.1.8273 2018/03/29190.09 MBytesRealtek Audio Driver
Realtek Audio Driver V6.0.1.8273 for Windows Windows 10 64-bit---(WHQL).

Feature I was missing most with UAD drivers was to have different streams with front and back audio jacks, have that now.

That's not what happened to your motherboard. Mokichu explained the situation in this thread --- SS3 was mistakenly included into the HDA driver and was correctly excluded in the UAD drivers. So people thought that UAD drivers took things away.

    Deleted - Page 74

If there were any "features" missing, it was because the way you installed the UAD drivers initially were not correct AND you had installed a bunch of unofficial drivers before and after.

I have an ASUS PRIME X470-PRO (url) motherboard. I have some questions:

    1. On this driver thread by MoKiChU on ASUS RoG forums, what driver should I use?
    2. I don't use EQ, or really touch anything in Realtek's control panel (both HDA and UAD); I just want the audio to come out of the speakers as-is with little-to-no processing or "enhancement". Do I need a special driver?
    3. I usually install UAD drivers (10-11MB) from MUC, but I noticed when using the most generic driver on MoKiChU's thread (very bottom of first post), the settings on the Advanced tab under Sound settings in Windows presents options a bit different, and I get "Software components" installed in Device Manager; aside from that, are there any other differences between MUC and drivers from other sources?
ASK HIM OVER THERE :) he knows all the Asus boards ...help me with mine , no issues, but no longer posts here.

Read my correspondence with with sandyt, I finally found perfect drivers or just use latest driver from PRIME X470-PRO Driver & Tools | Motherboards | ASUS USA

I have just shown in the last 3 pages that it is completely unnecessary and often counterproductive to apply Mokichu's updates on a computer that already has OEM UAD drivers. 99% of Mokichu's followers should NOT use his drivers, period.

If Mokichu gets a new job and decides to no longer provides updates, then what is he going to do. He probably has to DDU the crap out of his computer to get all the unofficial hacks out of his registry, then apply the original OEM driver and update via my method.

All for what? A 2 week bragging right to have 8996 ahead of everybody else.

DO we really need to go through all this again with you trying to discredit MokiChu's work because YOU don't think anyone but M$oft can supply a "valid" Driver ? It certainly isn't about having the "Latest" for some of us ...but having a working driver..... , something which WinUpdate can't do for some of us it seems..... especially those without the latest and great hardware....

Mokichu does NOT touch/hack the Drivers or the Apps in ANYWAY ...do you think ASUS would let him post on the ROG Forums IF he did? He simply points people to the right Package for their Motherboard or Laptop since even Asus' make errors on thier Website , which you just pointed out on the last page.

I have never discredited MokiChu. I have always put him up as good source of technical authority.

It's whether you blind MokiChu supporters differentiate between yourself (you have an Asus X99A-II motherboard that has an old HDA driver and by necessity HAVE to use unofficial means to update your own drivers) VS. blindly advocating other people who has OEM UAD drivers already installed (and therefore can make a much easier updating process).

I have no problem with your situation where you HAVE to use unofficial drivers. I have a MAJOR problem with you not looking at the end-user's point of view.

    MokiChu's way requires:
    1) download an unofficial driver
    2) completely uninstalling previous driver
    3) download and install Driver Store Explorer
    4) use command line to launch the cmd installing script

    My way requires:
    1) download from an official MUC depository
    2) launch the device manager
    3) launch the Microsoft Store

My way doesn't require end-users to download driver store explorer and doesn't require command line.

You can do a survey on Mokichu's threads on asus, nahimic and mydigitallife --- and the vast majority of the people on those threads have new motherboards that already came OEM UAD drivers installed. If I go to those threads and explain my simple updating method, he will lost most of his supporters immediately.

You can ask CountMike --- who has REPEATEDLY refused to take my advice for the last 10 months --- whether he will EVER not follow my updating method from now on. Fast, easy and painless.

I'm not sure why you insist on "Ten month ago", I don't remember ever asking about installation of UAD driver although I did try them few times, installed them and they were working, just didn't meet my needs for settings at that time. Now they do and will use them as long as they are at least adequate for ME.
