Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version [2]

Thanks for the links.
I have several Skylake-X, 1 Cascade Lake, the rest are coffee lake.
I do recall when the UAD drivers first hit and I was upgrading my PC all hell broke loose. I had to rebuild my image because store is not included, then after several days of messing around I finally got things to install only to find several features missing, and the occasional BSOD. The sound also sounded distorted (excuse the pun), and I could not get my headset to behave. It often was not detected when I plugged it in, and then would just randomly cut out.
Swore off UAD at that time, as I was also having issues with the DCH nvidia drivers.
Much as I would like to post some Vegemite to people who want some, we are actually locked down at present. Vegemite is not considered an essential reason to leave the house :) I don't get that. Sheesh, life would be a nightmare without Vegemite, and pizza (uh, not together though)

It's not a matter of pride. There are legitimate reasons to follow my tutorial --- mainly that it is 100% entirely from official sources. I spelled it out pretty clearly at the end --- my solution will be weeks and months behind you.
I started the tutorial with the caveat that the user already has their official OEM DCH driver installed --- that means that they already have their third party extension drivers installed. That is an important distinction between trying to force installed a DCH driver on a motherboard that didn't come with DCH drivers (like pal1000). Once you have the OEM DCH driver installed, you can update Nahimic, Dolby, Icepower extension components from MUC. MUC may be a couple of months behind you, but end users can update from MUC downloads.
You should say that:
1) if you are comfortable with downloading from unofficial sources, follow Mokichu's solution
2) if you are not comfortable, then follow sandyt's solution.
That is too bad he was made to feel unappreciated. I appreciated his help.

That is too bad he was made to feel unappreciated. I appreciated his help.
Notice that I never said anything negative about him.
If he felt unappreciated, then it is his fault for not offering my solution to his followers in the first place on the ASUS forum. He could have eliminated 80-90% of his workload by telling the vast majority of people who have OEM UAD drivers that they can grab their own updates from MUC. Then he can have the time to truly help people.
You can grab 8967 driver and 1.8.0.0 nahimic components from MUC. There is no life and death situation where you need 8975 driver and 1.8.1.0 nahimic components that are dated merely 2 weeks later.
Edit: I just check, MUC has 1.8.1.0 nahimic components.
https://www.catalog.update.microsoft...imic%201.8.1.0
But he never offer the simple solution to his followers, so he is constantly being asked the same repeated question.

I don't normally post, but sorry I just have to say: That's enough dude. I'm sure you know that deep down, you're not even close to being half as much help to this community as Mokichu was. So please, just stop making things worse by trying to justify things. MUC is and always will be an unreliable, unspecific mess for end users like myself to sift through. Mokichu's frequent updates offered us a clear and easy way of obtaining the right tools that we needed. It's a crying shame that we lost such a major contributor!
