    Hey all,

Sadly I'm back again with more troubles, but hopefully this will be familar with someone who knows what is going on and what I can do to resolve it.

Firstly a thank you to MoKiChU who has been providing assistance on the NH help forum with frequent updates to NH3 - so if you have NH3 - head over to nahimic.helprace.com. Unfortunately though I haven't had success with the driver you provided and was wondering if you, or anyone else, has any more ideas.

I have MSI NH2 (2.5.35) and windows 10 pro (2004). I have 8816_FF03_PG474_Win10_RS3_RS4_RS5_19H1_Win7_WHQL installed and have several issues with it:

    - The mic enhancements don't work. If I enable it in the windows settings the mic just stops working. With it off I can record but the quality is terrible. Distant feint sounds are really loud, while my own voice is quiet, and there's a static hum to it. I was able to run NH3 for over a year and it worked great but since version 2004 of windows I can no longer get NH3 to run.

    - The volume in certain apps is extremely quiet and needs to be boosted from the normal 20% to 100% just to give the same audible levels as other apps. This has always been an issue with NH2 and was one of the main reasons I switched to NH3 when it was first released. I have managed at times to magically 'fix it' by disabling and re-enabling the driver during launch of these apps but I haven't perfected exactly when this is to be done as results were fairly random, and therefore can't give exact instructions on how to re-create the fix. For now I will just say this is a problem without a fix.

    - Some sort of headphone detection has suddenly started to fail as my 250ohm DT 990's now can't play 5.1 audio, and sound like the quality of 1990's free aeroplane headphones. Cheap headphones for my mobile still sound ok, and the DT's work fine on my other PC. This is a new problem from today and I haven't had more than a few hours of trying to work this one out, but so far no positive results. Yes, I have cold booted it a few times.

Now that Alanfox doesn't host drivers anymore I was wondering where do you find HDA MSI FF03 drivers given that MSI stopped updating my laptop in in 2017 with 8172. I have found a few people hosting NH3 UAD drivers, but no longer any HDA ones.

I have left tickets with Nahimic nearly a week ago but no response yet. Anyone know if they are still supporting NH2 given that NH3 is being restricted to certain chipsets?

Need any other info - I'd be happy to provide.

While Nahimic 3 no longer works on MSI's old machine since Win10 2004 update, I'm now rolling back from UAD to HDA driver.
The latest HDA FF03 driver integrated with Nahimic APO I found is 8816 provided by Nahimic official, but it seems to outdated and vulnerable.
Is there any later version of HDA FF03?
I actually found someone with a similar question but yet unanswered from what I can tell. Does anyone have an answer for this?

    Hi,
For your MSI NH2 notebook you need :

    - Realtek HD Audio Drivers (HDA - NHx/FF03) v6.0.8816.1 WHQL from A-Volute/Nahimic : Link
    - Nahimic 2+ : Link

If you have issues with latest HDA - NHx/FF03 v6.0.8816.1 WHQL :

    - Try the latest HDA - NHx/FF03 version offered by MSI for MSI NH2 notebooks (v6.0.1.8470 WHQL) : Link
    - Try the latest HDA - NHx/FF03 version offered by MSI for MSI NH2 motherboards (v6.0.1.8619 WHQL) : Link

If your issues persists, open a ticket at your MSI support.
I think you may have mis-read what I wrote as I mention I am already using those drivers with the latest NH2. I have already opened a ticket which I mentioned as well but no response yet. I have also tried the older drivers with the same issues mentioned above, which was why I gave NH3 a go and it solved all the problems until the recent windows update that has forced me back to HDA drivers with NH2.

I'm hopeful for a 89xx suitable driver only because I dream of the issues that were never rectified with the 86xx, 87xx, and 88xx versions, being finally fixed.

My final question is - if all else fails and I'm stuck with what I have - is there a way around using NH with this PC by using either other software, or cheap hardware, that will remedy the problems I'm experiencing?

What UAD should I be using for the Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming 5 motherboard?

I've recently been having crashes, so I updated to Windows 10 2004 and the driver from Gigabyte's website isn't working at all, no sound with the Realtek drivers installed. Also, it seems like the included Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi MB5 software has not been working for some time even before this.

If you can let Nahmic 2 go??? there are HDA FF00 files around which I was using till this week when MokiChU gave me info about his Asus HDA Package.

Site like Necacom.net for example have 8934.1
    https://www.necacom.net/index.php/re...-0-8934-1-whql

or Laptop2Go Thread for HDA Drivers where Erpster posted about 8924.1 from Lenovo that is completely generic

Erpster may even have posted further back in this thread here about these ones too..

You said you opened a ticket at A-Volute/Nahimic, not at MSI (MSI will know to whom (Nahimic or Realtek) redirect your issues if they manage to reproduce it in their test lab).
Ah understood - I will give that a go.

I'm more than happy to rid myself of NH entirely if it means no more issues! But before I jump to these can I check with you as I did something similar in the past and I ran into issues such as none of the 3.5mm jacks being detected, or they were incorrectly detected for example line out become mic in etc. I thought I read somewhere that I would need the FF03 drivers with NH ... things... (forget the terms used) built into them or this problem would remain?

Just trying to save an hour or 2 of pain if possible.

Can't quarantee anything as I don't have the same computer as you but if the Generic Drivers , which cover ALL Realtek Chipsets, don't work I think you have larger issues , besides they either work or don't and it will only cost you 2 reboots to find out or switch back if needed. The Realtek Control Panel has the Options TAB to set Inputs and Outputs to some degree I always set it NOT to tie them together.....

Download the Drivers and then check the .inf files for your particular HWD ID but that may take longer than just trying them :)

Normally on a Reinstall of windows I install the original set from the MB/Laptops Website , just incase it contains something special , then I install the latest Driver I can find here or the other Sites mentioned. Strangely MokiChU's HDA Asus Drivers let DTS Studio work properly for me which it never has so I was just using FF00 Generic HDA Drivers and a Graphic Equalizer called APO with the PEACE GUI instead.

P.S. Nahmic is an addon and not required at all , and seems to cause more Issues than most need it seems.

@MoKiChU what a legend you are!! I hope you get the praise you deserve for this top work.

    Just one thing -

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG/PRIME/TUF MB) from my ROG UAD drivers thread.

Follow scrupulously your INSTALL process with cleanup step, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process.

Note (in order to choose correctly the install/update process to use) : You have a ASUS PRIME RTK motherboard.

I have followed the instructions carefully but noticed since installing UAD (previously had HDA), the Realtek Audio Console does not have an equalizer, is this a bug?
