I'm cuurently giving pal1000's latest release build 8894 a try out and it's another good sounding driver. However ithe difference between 8892 and 8894 is minimal so imo if you're already running 8892 it's not worth upgrading.
I went from 92 to 95 and it sounds really good. But I refuse to start manually updating the realtek app outside of the store!

Yes Mooz I'm also running 8895 and I also think it's a great sounding driver. I also manually updated the Realtek Console and it worked fine

That's good, but I hope that doesn't become the norm, because that's just a little too much unofficial for me. lol

    Hi

First post on the forum , english is not my first language so i gonna keep things simple.

I build a new pc (first build in 8 years)

    motherboard: MSI B450M gaming plus
    cpu: ryzen 2600
    gpu: gtx 1660
    16 gb ram
    using headset mostly

All went smooth until the sound drivers part, like I said this is my firs build in years so i innocently install the drivers from my motherboard site:

    Realtek HD Universal driver 6.0.8858.1
    Nahimic driver 1.3.2

    And the recommended software:

Realtek audio control windows 10 app
    Nahimic 3 windows 10 app

And that was a mistake, Realtek audio control app is trash and Nahimic 3 app is broken, no audio enhancements and profiles work, the only thing that works is the volume slider, searching on the internet seems like is a generalized problem whit nahimic and windows updates, I been trying follow online recommendations, and uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and apps, and even follow the nahimic support instructions ([NEW] Nahimic 3: audio driver update | Community help & shares ), but nothing works.

Trying to fix it has been a nightmare, Nahimic is a windows pp so deleting the app does nothing ,
nahimic process and services keep running, and a bunch of archives (dll) stay on sys32, at least I manage to stop services from opening on startup.

But like I said Realtek audio control is bare-bones, and device properties is lacking enhancements and equalizer , so my question is, what are my options? Keep trying to fix this , install and old driver?, or keep whit the Realtek driver alone, even though the generic windows driver had more options and sounds better.

    hey, stupid question:

if I don't want to use SS3, wouldn't it be better to use a UAD driver without nahimic extensions?
    (ROG X470-F mobo)

    thx

No answer here yet about my ASIO issues .

    This is my hardware ID

    FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0B00&SUBSYS_1458A0CF

Is it possible for asio to NOT work with a modern motherboard (Aorus Elite X570)

That id is not on the .inf list as automatic ASIO install, for the driver. Not sure if that means it can't work or not. What's the big deal ??

8895 FF00 HDA is out (saw it recently in this nsaneforums topic)
but it's for 64bit Win10 only (not available in X86/32bit)
    WHQL for Win10 X64 only

in fact 8882 FF00/FF01 HDA were also for 64bit Win10 only

Here I release the latest WHQL-Version of the ASUS_UAD_ROG_SS3_v6.0.8895.1 sound driver. The last version was not WHQL. Some files are different. In the future I will name Beta versions without .1 at the end. Only the WHQL gets the .1 extension, as Realtek does. Because of this new Version my last (non) WHQL release is no longer available.

    Enjoy!

Though , after updating my 8648 UAD with 8862 UAD ( from MUC ) , it gave me the same audio-quality ............only difference ; the HDA is 330MB and the 8862 UAD is about 43MB .........so , whats best choise ?
