No, been so focused on fixing the mess of the ASUS pack I skipped drivers earlier than 8856.

DUH! Why did I miss that Long day and tired.
    Thanks! All installed.
Have you also update the realtek software components? Once you updated the 3 software components in the device manager and run the Microsoft Store to force an update. You will also end up with 1.9.205.0 Realtek Audio Console app.

Now since you didn't know about this MUC update method before and you originally had sonic studio/nahimic on your motherboard.

IF you are "stupid" enough to try to install the asus sonic studio package again in the future, there are also updates to the problematic nahimic software components in the Microsoft Update Catalog. You need to search under various terms like nahimic or a-volute or nahimic 1903 or a-volute 1903 or nahimic 2019 or a-volute 2019 or nahimic apo or sonic studio mixer...

Just remember that the MUC search function is stupid and you have to try a dozen of search combinations for everything. Doesn't matter whether you are searching for intel graphics card driver, or synaptics touchpad driver or realtek sd card reader driver.

Having trouble getting Realtek ASIO drivers to function.

Removed the Realtek drivers and installed the latest from the gigabyte/Aurus Elite drivers page. Its a recent build. 8854

So the Asio drivers don't install by default. There's a DIR in the install package that installs the ASIO driver. Ran that. Strangely , it installs drivers from 2016 .

They simply are not working at all. The ASIO driver shows up in audio apps, but crashes any program trying to use it, or throws an error .

Also in the driver package, are two directories (under win64\realtek\ with more recent ASIO drivers. One very recent (2019). The names and registry classid's are identical ({A80362FF-CE76-4DD9-874A-704C57BF0D6A}) , so I tried replacing the old ones. Same problem

Any idea why this is broken ? Other than ASIO , no problems with the regular drivers.

So what do you think of the 8892 driver? Worse than 8867 was?
Just got done testing, by flip-flopping between HDMI passthrough and Realtek(with no EQ or effects) and 8892 is the same good quality as 8867
Totally neutral, and no sound coloration.
The only advantage would be if there are more security updates included.

I'm in a little trouble. I can't open Realtek Console UWP app. I've had a 8867 driver, then uninstalled it and downloaded the 8858 version from Microsoft Catalogue and between re-installation I've restarted the computer. After restart I've checked Realtek Console to see what's driver installed now but couldn't open it so I tried to uninstall through settings but couldn't do it either. So I've pushed the powershell command and uninstalled it from both user and all accounts. Restarted computer again and installed/updated new driver through Device Manager. I can't still open the Realtek Console but now when clicked it redirect me to a blank page in Microsoft Store. The app is no longer in Settings/Apps and I can't find it in Store. How can I install it now? Any solution/help?
