Only have 1 realtek audio device but it's named #2

For some reason my set of speakers now is labeled as "2". Even though there is just one device plugged in. There is no other option for a "1". Is there anyway to remove the 2?

Because the registry has it in from a previous install of the device.

I figured that but was hoping for a fix.

See Realtek sound re-mapping worked until spring update ?? Follow the info on where the driver keys are and delete #1, rename #2 without the #2 after deleting the entry for #1.
