Audio/Video desync problem (Version 1809 (OS Build 17763.475))

Hello, I've been dealing with a problem with video playback where the audio starts off sync'd with the video but over the period of a few seconds it starts desyncing until it's completely offset.

This happens not only on browsers but on any video player as well.

No change with clean boot.

All power options checked so computer won't power any components off and is set to High Performance.

The issue seems to be linked to the WiFi driver as disabling the WiFi adapter resolves the problem instantly. Unfortunately I cannot use Ethernet otherwise it would be a simple way out.

I've tried dozens of different WiFi drivers, audio drivers, video drivers, updating to the original Microsoft drivers and the issue pertains.

Asus ROG G551JW
CPU: Intel i7-4920HQ @ 2.6 GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3 @ 800 MHz
GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 960m 4GB GDDR5
HDD0: Kingston 240GB SSD
HDD1: Seagate 2TB SATA
WiFi: Qualcomm Atheros AR946x

Not sure what else to add. Any ideas/insight would be much appreciated!

what version(s) of the Qualcomm Atheros Wifi drivers were you using when you had the problem?

also maybe uninstall or downgrade from build 17763.475 (KB4495667) to an earlier build like 17763.437 (KB4493509) as the KB4495667 update for 1809 seemed to have caused some creative x-fi audio cards to stop working.

The drivers I'm currently using are version 10.0.0.355

I've gone through a few different driver versions to see it would make a difference and nothing.
