No Startup Sound at boot from cold start.

    No Startup Sound at boot from cold start.


    Whenever I do a restart boot I get the Windows Startup sound. If I boot from Shutdown I do not get it. Is this the way it should be?

    Thank you.

    That is the way I have it set up and, as I said, it works just fine when booting from a restart but not from a shutdown. Go figure!

    They are built into the monitor and get their sound via the HDMI feed from the computer. Also my Dell AIO with its built in speakers exhibit the same problem -- Boot from restart OK boot from shutdown 'power of' no good'.
