    Computer Having Prolems Handling Audio

Hello, recently (about a month and a half now) my computer audio has been cutting out. This usually happens when I play a game. This is also a problem when I talk on Discord aswell, my friends say I sound like a cutting out robot when the computer has the audio clipping problem. Usually the issue lasts about 2-3 minutes then happens again at random. I ran the program latencyMon to try and identify the problem diagnostic here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, clearly you have major latency issues- about the worst I've seen. You say
recently (about a month and a half now) my computer audio has been cutting out.
If you look back in your Update History (Windows, and drivers at the bottom), what happened about then?

If you can be sure this was not a problem, then was, it might be related to an upgrade or driver update.
Otherwise, did you make any other significant change then? Installed a program for example?

If you can identify something time-related that might save you trying to diagnose the problem.

Please make use of the Latencymon documentation e.g.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled all USB/Audio drivers. In regards of Windows updates, I just updated my system to the latest version 2 days ago. However, I believe it isn't to be any issue with the update with LatencyMon is saying is that USBPORT.sys- USB 1.1_2.0 Port Driver is causing the most issues. I have a Hyperx headset that is connected to a USB audio controller could that be a possible issue?

    Searches for
    ataport.sys latency
    and
    usbport.sys latency
    give plenty of hits.

You can try simplifying your configuration and uninstalling things by way of experiment, of course.

When did you start using it?

I started using it 2-3 months ago. And I apologize what do you mean by simplifying my configuration? Thanks for the continued support!

You could start by removing anything related to this:
I have a Hyperx headset that is connected to a USB audio controller could that be a possible issue?
I just updated my system to the latest version 2 days ago
Sorry, this is unclear. Do you mean you upgraded to build 1809 2 days ago - which means you have no Update History around the time this started- or that you applied the latest Windows update? i.e. specifically, do you have any useful Update History?

There are other threads on stutter and latency on the forum - it's worth having a look at a couple of the more recent ones.

    E.g.

The interpretation of that is you're on build 1809, and your Update History around the time this started is not available.

Please be aware resolving this is not easy and detailed resolution requires the use of technical tools from MS, in particular the Windows Performance Recorder
Download and Install Windows Performance Toolkit in Windows 10 | Tutorials

I would advise looking at recent threads such as those I posted above, and more, for hints, which include examples of that tool being used. There are several such on the forum. Solutions can be different in different cases.

    Hi @BaconTime
Are the audio glitches happens only when using your headset or even when using the PC Audio output? it can indicate where to focus the troubleshooting.

As @dalchina suggested you can install Windows Performance Toolkit and take a trace while the issue happens. Enable the following options in the Windows Performance Recorder:
