Put your subwoofer jack into rear pair output and vice versa. Test all sounds. Then you will know where the issue lays.
I have fixed this issue.
I turned the Format to 24Bits, 48000 Hz to combat a audio glitch in Anthem
When I turned it back up to 24Bits, 192000 Hz everything started working again.

your ASUS board does not support Sonic Studio as that will not work with the X99-E WS board.

the board that fireberd is using is different because his specific model has sonic studio support which should be noted in the board's specs on the asus web site
