    Faulty audio ports or something else?

    Heya people, long time lurker but first time post here.

    I've been scratching my head past few days trying to solve this issue but to no avail. The problem appear since fresh install window 10 (1809) that the rear audio jacks behave weirdly;

    > if I plug any input (speakers or headphones), it will jumping around between green port (front speaker out) & black port (rear speaker out) if using realtek driver (tried asrock 8067 & Microsoft 8648). Sometimes it will just stay/stuck there at black port until I unplugged the plugged again.

    > If I use generic/Microsoft driver, the speakers icon in the playback menu will turn on and off rapidly.

    > but if I use front panel audio, it will just works fine with either speakers or headphones.

    I did make some video out of it since easier to see for yourself,
    using generic driver -> https://youtu.be/IJRGXu8Ji4Y
    using realtek driver -> https://youtu.be/npqY08o9pjg

    Any input will be great since i'm kinda hit the wall here, I assume the ports are faulty but still want a second opinion before I do rma. (since its still under warranty)

    Front panel audio ports/wiring/connections are more likely to be troublesome than the rear ports (which are part of the motherboard), so I would try disconnecting the front panel audio completely at the motherboard headers to see if that solves the problems with the rear ports.

    Looks like an intermittent connection problem on the rear panel socket(s).
    Maybe just the plugs and sockets, or the connections from those sockets to the MOBO.

    You can make a diagnosis by unplugging the front panel connections see if it still happens, and by a bit of a wiggle of each of the rear panel sockets.

    I did try disconnecting the front panel connector, but the issue still persist.
    My speaker is Swan Hivi M10, connects to computer using 3.5mm jack, and I also already replace the audio cable for that.

    I was told to build outside the case to eliminate any issue/interference from the case, I'll try that and post update later.
