    Hello,

I have an old Lenovo IdeaPad Z570 laptop, which uses Realtek's legacy HDA drivers. Right now, I'm using the driver version which I directly downloaded from Lenovo's website but that one's reaaaally old (v. 6.0.1.6267 from 2010 w/ FMAPO/FF01 integration respectively). I wanted to upgrade my driver but I'm so unsure which drivers suit my laptop. Can someone help me with that? Thanks!

edit: I forgot to add my device's hardware ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0272&SUBSYS_17AA6016

according to the tech specs from CNet.com, the Lenovo IdeaPad Z570 notebook PCs have 2nd gen Intel core CPUs and seem to have an HD Audio system with SRS Premium Sound (and are about a decade old).

HWID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0272&SUBSYS_17AA6016" is listed in the HDASRSA.inf (for 32bit Win10) & HDXSRSA.inf (for 64bit Win10) files of the Realtek HDA FFxx drivers.

you can use the latest HDA FF00 driver which is 6.0.9151.1 if you like. after installing the Realtek HDA driver, you can install the SRS Premium Sound control panel app (cuz that's what sound enhancement option Lenovo put on the Z570 laptop)

That driver update gave a big boost to my audio output quality but right now, I have a major upset. My microphone volume quality dropped dramatically after that driver update, which I can barely hear my voice after I recorded myself. I guess that is related to the FF01 thing, which has Fortemedia integration. (FMAPO)

if you really need an FF01 HDA version with Fortemedia APO files (especially with many Lenovo laptop PCs with Dolby or SRS which usually have pre-installed HDA drivers with FMAPO integration files; Lenovo desktops/workstation/server PCs on the other hand work fine with just FF00), the latest generic FF01 HDA driver is v6.0.9057.1 from this MS Update link.

That one doesn't solve my issue as well, I guess I have to revert back to way old drivers for fixing the issue of microphone.

    try older FF01 HDA versions like 6.0.8988.1, 6.0.8963.1, 6.0.8924.1, 6.0.8907.1, 6.0.8899.1 & 6.0.8882.1

edit - I think your old Lenovo laptop may need the Andrea filters APO integration files (I think those files were also used for microphone enhancements as well), which were only included in very old HDA versions like R2.82 (6.0.1.8186) but no longer included in newer 8xxx/9xxx drivers.

several weeks late on this due to my busy schedule attending to important family matters but:

latest available HDA FF00 drivers are the following
    v6.0.9191.1 generic HDA FF00 x64 from Hewlett-Packard (download here - release notes) [released July 9, 2021]

v6.0.9183.1 generic HDA FF00 x64 from Supermicro (download here) [released July 28, 2021]

-I read a few reports from other sites that 9183 HDA provides better sound quality than 9191 HDA for some Realtek HD audio devices
