Mic picking up audio output from headset.

Hello, So i recently got a new laptop, and when I went in a call with my friends, they told me they could hear every sound from my PC, for the past 3 hours I've been trying to look for solutions, but none of them are helpful, please help me. Ps, my laptop has IDT sound stuff.

Either they are playing around with you or you have a chat running, with the MIC allowing everything, no matter what. Suggest unhooking your headset when not using.

They are not playing around, I recorded and tested it myself, and I could hear stuff from my pc, and I only use my headset when I need them. And i dont know what you mean by "chat running" we use discord to talk, and where can i check if its set to listen everything?

I had the same issue with a pair of headphones I had. When I changed headphones it stopped. I had tried everything and nothing helped. There has to be some crossover between the headphone speaker and the mic. That was my only conclusion.

What is your soundcard? Check out your recording devices.
Mine is Creative and it allows to play everything, that is heard.

You can right click your headset in that screenshot and select properties then the 'Listen' tab. Make sure 'Listen to this device' is not checked.

Try another headset. Maybe that will work.
