Audio and video issue related to realtek

So I keep getting this stuttery, slow mow action happening and it seems related to when I'm running realtek. When I just go in and switch to pc speakers sans realtek no issues. I found a video online with a quick fix of uninstalling realtek and then restarting, which restalls realtek fresh. Seems to be a valid short term fix, but the issue comes back ever time eventually.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

I don't understand "switch to pc speakers sans realtek". If Realtek is the PC sound hardware anything you do with internal speakers is using Realtek.

If you have Realtek as the on the motherboard sound, then selecting "Speakers" as the default playback device is using Realtek. Slo mo video or "stuttering" would suggest something other than an audio problem. Wi-Fi, if you are using that is one known cause.

You have basically what I have except I have an ASUS ROG (gamer) motherboard. i7 6700K, 16GB Ram.

Run the free (and popular) Resplendence Latency Mon and see what that tells you. It is a very good tool for audio. I use mine for my recording studio and Latency Mon is used by many to help tweak their system for recording.

I have everything set up through my home theater system. If I switch that off and just go through my monitor's speakers, no issue.

According to the MSI downloads for this model, the PC audio is Realtek.
OK, you are using HDMI audio and speakers in your monitor (correct)?

This motherboard also has an add on app sound enhancement "Nahimic Audio Boost 3" but I can't find out if it is only for analog audio or for analog and digital audio.

Do you have any speakers you can connect to the GREEN speaker jack, just to see if you have the same problem as the digital link? Or analog headset you can connect to the headphone jack for testing? The headphone is fed from Realtek, too.
