    Does this work well on GIGABYTE desktop motherboards?

    this picture should answer your question, Stigg {I have this installed on mine}

    so yes

    and KBird here also got the 9618 driver on his Gigabyte board as well a few weeks ago

    you can also ask Kbird himself about the 9618 gigabyte driver

    ==

    and for Asrock users - they recently also have a 6.0.9618.1 driver for them as well

    same for Lenovo as they also have a 6.0.9618.1 driver for recent Yoga 7 laptops

    Thank you, erpster4.

    Gigabyte also has a 6.0.9605.1 driver version on their web site as well (released almost a week before the 6.0.9618.1 version). the hdxgigabyte.inf, hdxgigabyteacp.inf, hdxgigabytesst.inf and all Gigabyte related Realtek device extension inf files are included for 9605.

    about a week late in mentioning the 9605 gigabyte version here though

    Hi EP, thanks, for some reason Tags and mentions aren't working, I actually just dropped back in to say that the Driver off the GIGAIPC site has fixed the low Volume Issues but makes clicks and pops on the Speakers ie like when an App pops a notification even though I have sound disabled for notifications etc, so I will try the NB Driver from the Gigabyte site to see if that issue is fixed in them*. (On GB Z590 and Z790 MBoards here now and a Lenovo Laptop)

    * No it doesn't fix the popping and clicking issue so it must just be this particular Driver as I have not had this Issue before.

    what web browser are you using, Kbird?
    no problems with tags & mentions with ten forum on my end - currently using Firefox ESR 115.7

    try the older 6.0.9605.1 NB version from the Gigabyte web site
    or even the much older 6.0.9567.1 MB/board version from the GigaIPC.com web site

    ======

    for HP AIO desktop PCs users - they too have recent 6.0.9618.1 driver packages as well > {sp150743} {sp150745}

    so that makes it about 6 OEMs that have 6.0.9618.1 Realtek drivers {Asrock, Asus, Gigabyte, HP (Hewlett-Packard), Lenovo & MSI (Microstar International)}

    no probs, Kbird. be sure to report back here again whether 9605.1 gigabyte realtek audio driver works ok or not.

    if problems persist with 9605, uninstall & use an older driver before 6.0.9601.1/6.0.9605.1 versions like 9567.1 from gigaipc mentioned in a few of my older posts. got a few reports from another forum that certain users using intel based gigabyte boards are getting certain sound problems with the 96xx drivers & not with the 95xx & older drivers (though my gigabyte board doesn't have the noise popping problems with 96xx drivers since the board uses AMD cpus + chipsets)

    I think the reports you are seeing on other Forums maybe correct, at least for the 9618 Driver on some Gigabyte Intel Boards (Z590 Elite AX here and Z790 Elite AX), as I installed 9605 this morning and haven't notice the pops since, but wasn't at this computer much today, so will followup if needed.

    *Update : I have not noticed the Popping in normal use yet , but earlier while the computer sat at the unlock screen waiting for the pin , the sound was "pulsing" in the speakers until I signed in.... so I will try a 95xx series driver as, at least on win 11 9468 had low volume issues for me. ( was okay on Win10 )

    I had a problem with v6.0.9618.1 on my GIGABYTE motherboard. The volume was slightly lower, which I guess is only a minor thing. But the bigger problem was the first part of any audio missed about the first second or two of play. It was like the driver was slow to respond.

    I've gone back to v6.0.9509.1 which has fixed the above problems.
