Have a question. Can you use DDU to completely uninstall and remove audio drivers and app components to do a fresh install of updated audio drivers?
Yep. You can safely do it.

in case DDU does not remove all of the Realtek SWC components, run driverstore explorer (RAPR) afterwards and check in the "extensions" and "software components" sections to see if the realtek device extensions and swc components have been removed by DDU. if they are removed, great and if not, select the swc components and/or extensions and use the Delete Driver(s) button to remove them

Looking at your software components, your Dell computer uses the waves maxxaudio pro app.

Thank you for your answer...but I haven't been able to locate it in my PC...anywhere!
I suppose I should go searching for it in the DELL Support site

No need to do that. The 3 extensions are already installed, as you can see from the following output of PS script.

    Code:
Audio Device INTELAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0236&SUBSYS_10280A22 is controlled by a DCH Driver.

    Audio Device Driver
    -------------------
    Realtek(R) Audio: hdxdellbcsst2018.inf [6.0.9126.1]

    Audio Control Application*
    --------------------------
No Audio Control Application is installed.

    Software Components Drivers
    ---------------------------
    Realtek Asio Component: realtekasio.inf [1.0.0.7]
Realtek Audio Effects Component: realtekapo.inf [11.0.6000.878]
Realtek Audio Universal Service: realtekservice.inf [1.0.0.346]
Waves Audio Effects Component for DO: wavesapo10de.inf [7.2.0.599]

    Audio Extensions Drivers**
    --------------------------
    Realtek Device Extension: hdx_dellbcext_waves_ma8mv5.inf [6.0.9126.1]
    Realtek Device Extension: hdx_dellbcext_dsp.inf [6.0.9126.1]
    Dell Device Extension: dellaudioextwaves.inf [1.7.2.467]

    * Audio Control Application is available only from the Microsoft Store.
** Audio Extensions Drivers are not available in the Microsoft Update Catalog.
    or from RAPR

    Hiy

Can anyone help with my surface pro 4 UWP set up? i tried Cliff S way of doing a complete uninstall with Driver Store Explorer to remove the old Realtek high definition audio SST driver but i cant seen to find a driver that can run on my system. do i have to install the UAD driver first then the Realtek audio control driver from the microsoft store?

Should i start with the Realtek UAD Driver 6.0.9254.1 from majorgeeks?
