Is it just me or do the UAD drivers seem completey user unfriendly? The MUC only delivers partial UAD drivers without the Realtek Components, making it not possible to download the Realtek Audio Console App. The only sources that have the complete installation packages along with the app are the unofficial ones that are either taken from Realtek's ftp site or are repacked by some users.

Why isn't MUC offering the complete package?

Just supposition on my part - bu my guess is that the OEMs need to supply those bits, and MUC only supplies the generic bits that are teh same regardless of OEM / implementation.

I have tried almost every method to get Audio Console to install and it refuses to download from the Microsoft Store. There's always an error. Also, it shows in "My Library" that it was originally downloaded ("purchased) last November. Is there a way to delete it from Microsoft Store and re-add it? I can only "hide" it...which does nothing. I don't know what else to try to get it to install.

I tried extensively to remove it with no luck so I installed the generic version of the driver with the older style console.

note that the "complete" Realtek UAD driver package comes with the "extension" INFs like HDX_GenericExt_RTK.inf, which is found in the WIN64\Realtek\CodecExtOem_RTK_nnnn\ folder (where nnnn is the driver version) and UAD driver packs from MUC NEVER include extension INFs,

I hope Johnnygui got a chance to read this quote from the Microsoft Docs page titled "Working with Extension INFs in the Partner Center"

Requirements for publishing Extension INFs to Windows Update

Publishing Extension INFs to Windows update requires you to select automatic driver promotion checkboxes on your shipping label. The reason Extension INFs cannot be published as optional is because they are not listed in Device Manager for an end user to initiate an “Update Driver” action.
that means extension INFs cannot be installed thru Device Manager. only pnputil.exe and rapr.exe (driverstore explorer) can properly install these extension INFs for Realtek UAD.

so far, Realtek has not published any new complete & generic UAD driver packs that include the newer HDX_GenericExt_RTK.inf extension INF file that would "complete" the UAD driver install since 8614.

it's best to use the traditional HDA (nonUAD drivers) for older machines that did not originally come with UAD drivers [unless using Realtek audio chipsets on 7th gen Intel hardware, AMD Bristol Ridge / Ryzen or newer]

I was able to get the Microsoft app to install from the store but I never could get the app to work. I always got the error message that it couldn't connect. I had the UAD drivers installed. I finally uninstalled the UAD driver as well as the MS store app. I reloaded the drivers from the original motherboard CD and I now have the old style Realtek Control Panel back. I am much happier without that crappy MS app.

I have no problem with the UAD driver or Audio Console as supplied with the latest driver from Gigabyte for my board, but it seems to lack any way to change the crossover frequency (as was possible, albeit not exposed in the control panel with the 'old' driver by changing 'cut_off_frequency' in HKLM/Software/RealtekAECBF/icrcAudioProcessingDemo) so I might have to go back to the old ones, since the default 60Hz doesn't suit my set-up at all...
