Realtek Audio Console REQUIRES a Realtek HD (UAD) Driver!!

guess you either don't know that 6.0.9567.1 exists or you haven't used that version yet (or have refused to use that one...weak )

6.0.9505 started to give me pops and burbles after a few weeks and I finally had time on the weekend to come back here and find Erpster's next recommendation, which is 6.0.9567.1 in post #592 and so far it is "quiet" and I can leave my speakers on again when not in use.

I've read through most of this thread and implemented most of its various solutions.

My only goal here was to be able to access the Environment and Pitch Setting effects within the Realtek Audio Console. I have access to the Realtek Audio Control app and its equalizer already. I just wanted those bonus features like my old PC had.

If I'm understanding everything correctly, that doesn't seem to be possible with my current MOBO. It was only possible on my old PC because it had an older MOBO which supported an HDA audio driver, whereas my new one is designed for UAD audio drivers. I'm also on Windows 11 now.

Installing Realtek via various suggestions in here, it'll always install everything except those aforementioned special effects. If I'm understanding everything correctly, those special effects reside within the Realtek Audio Effects Component. However, that component is always omitted from my installations. Instead, I only have Realtek Asio Component, REaltek Audio Universal Service, and Realtek Hardware Support. I don't think it's possible to install that necessary component since it seems to be associated with HDA audio drivers which are incompatible with my hardware.

Am I correct, in that it's impossible to access those features with my setup?

You are 100% wrong. Being HDA vs UAD drivers have nothing to do with anything.

Features gets deleted back from the old Realtek HD Audio Manager in Windows 7 as well. Fireberd figured it out the reason why his Realtek HD audio Manager didn't have the 10 band EQ in Windows 7 in 2012 was because his gigabyte motherboard also comes with Creative soundblaster app. His 10 band EQ got moved to the soundblaster app. That's it. So this has NOTHING to do with HDA vs UAD.

The reason is super simple and consistent to understand for the last 15 years --- they CANNOT give you 2 separate 10 band EQ (or 2 sewer pipes) because you may enable BOTH at the same time and ruin your sound.

My realtek UAD driver has environment and pitchshifting.



You don't have environment and pitchshifting because your asus motherboard comes with asus audio add-ons (such as sonic studio) or other premium add-ons (like soundblaster or dts or dolby). Features are deleted because (1) there is an equilavent function in sonic studio or (2) they inferfere functions in sonic studio --- exactly the same reasons as Fireberd's gigabyte motherboard back in 2012.

Originally, before I started tinkering with this, the Realtek Audio Console was missing the EQ as well, however the DTS had the EQ (but not the environment/pitch shifting features). Getting rid of DTS restored the EQ to Realtek Audio Console as expected, however the environment and pitch shifting remained nowhere to be found.

I'm just looking for confirmation on whether or not I'm wasting my time trying to get Environment and Pitch Shifting working in the Realtek Audio Console with my setup.
