this is sort of to be expected as Gigabyte seems to have tested the 6.0.9652.1 driver version with recent boards made in the past few years (9652 should be listed there for some Z690 and X670 boards; not listed {and probably not tested} for B550, H510, X570, Z590 & older AMD or Intel chipsets)

I also assume you have installed or updated the bios/firmware to the most recent version for your Gigabyte board, KBird
(the 6.0.9652.1 driver works best with the most recent bios version available; check the Gigabyte website for any new bios/firmware updates available)
    Hi EP,

yes All boards are on the latest release bio's , there has been a few lately, what with the uproar over the 13th and 14th gen chips, which I have issues with (14900K), it a bit of a PITA , as it causes W11 to lose it's Pin and then once back in you have to then confirm all you M$ Email Passwords again too. The GB Z790 boards I have, only got their "Intel Baseline Profiles" Bios's about a week ago, of course the Z590 , may never see another bios update but it is on the latest available , discounting some Beta Bios's GB seems to release to enthusiast's through TweakTown's GB Pages before they are even on the Official Pages.

So far all seems well with the latest HD Audio release (v6.0.9652.1 UAD) on both Z790 Boards, so they might have finally figured out the issues on Intel's board.

though some reddit users recently are having some sound quality issues with the 6.0.9652.1 driver for AMD based Gigabyte boards like AMD X670E Aorus Master & others:

for ASRock MB users - both 6.0.9679.1 & 6.0.9692.1 drivers are available from the Asrock download site

Gigabyte has recently released a 6.0.9689.1 driver version to possibly fix those other sound issues.
this supersedes/replaces the 6.0.9652.1 driver as 9652 is no longer listed on the Gigabyte web site.

6.0.9689.1 has similar Issues for me as the versions before 6.0.9652.1 ie sounds/humming etc in the speakers when not in use or working in some 3D Apps (CAD) etc. , I hadn't noticed due to the heatwave and Fans going 24/7, so I have gone back to 6.0.9652.1

    * Just a Gigabyte Issue on Intel boards? may drivers before 6.0.9652.1 had this too but perhaps louder/worse than 6.0.9689.1
